So this review does not account for the quality of the massage itself because I did not get that far. First off, the establishment is not in the nicest part of town. Wrestled in between gay clubs and the red light district, my friend and I had our doubts straight off the bat. It had been a long day, and we really just wanted to comfort our weary feet at any respectable place nearby. To our surprise, when we arrived it looked like legit, so we each requested a massage. They asked us to wait for ten minutes, which was fine. Then when it came to choose, one of us could only choose the French massage and the other could choose from the array of massages (shiatsu, Chinese foot, etc), presumably because one of the available masseuses only knows one method. Even though it was a bit annoying, it was not a problem. My friend chose the French massage and was led to his room a few minutes later. I was told that my masseuse would be available in ten minutes; again, that was fine... 25 minutes later as I see workers running up and down the stairs, I'm wondering what is taking so long. I go to the front desk, and nobody is there. A couple minutes later, the front desk girl runs in with a bag of takeout food. I'm annoyed by this point, but I really just want some kind of attention and care immediately. She looks down at her notes and looks up at me and says I can book the next available massage in 20min. By this point I'm livid, and I don't understand how that is even a suggestion. How am I supposed to wait another 20min when my friend is already 25min into his massage? And why would I trust that this time, it would be 20min? I don't know if this was some shady maneuver to get at least one paying customer, but this experience was a total shame. read more
