Echoing the other reviews, which I wish I had seen before doing business with this company, Spaces Davis Square is a scam. Their sales person, Michel Jeha, sat down with me and my friend and told us explicitly exactly how much money we would be paying for our one month stay. I asked for it in writing. He gave it to me. Spaces does not care. Kitchen fees, internet fees, and now, after we've moved out, they are trying to charge us a $47.50 "office restoration fee". We had dedicated desks in a shared workspace. There is no restoration. Well, I'm not paying them any more money. If they want my $47.50 we can fight it out in arbitration. Also, our badges didn't work! We had to pass a shared one around that belonged to one of the people working at the front desk. Please, do not do business with this company. These are not good people. read more

Honestly we've really liked the place and it's a great value, so I'll go in and change my review in a heartbeat, if certain ongoing issues are resolved; The fridge broke literally a couple months ago. After a couple weeks of perpetual water leaking out, they figured out how to turn the water off. About a month later a new fridge arrived. About ANOTHER month later the old fridge was taken out. Buuuut the new fridge wasn't installed so it's just sitting here not plugged in for several weeks now. I think the staff who work here (including the girl who did work here but left recently) are great, but it seems like the upper management really don't care and maybe aren't responding? Not sure how else it takes multiple MONTHS to change out a broken fridge. Again, fridge situation gets fixed and I'd change it to at least 3 stars, but until that's finally resolved this place kind of sucks read more

I wish I had checked Yelp before signing with this place - 1 star is really being generous. This place is pure frustration. I started a remote job and was looking for an office space to get out of the house. I got a good sales pitch from the sales person at SPACES, so I decided to sign up for a month and see how it goes. I was looking to start on April 28th, and the sales manager offered to have the April days prorated. Great. On 5/1 I opened the payment website, got a bill for $350 retainer, $350 monthly, $65 activation fee, and $35 for the 3 days in April. Make sense. But what's this? $42 late fee? Because everything was supposed to be paid on 4/28? On top of that, the monthly for June was already posted. I promptly cancelled the membership on the same day, because the co-working space was so noisy and crammed, and there was basically no support whatsoever when it comes to billing. Fast forward to the start of June, I got notification for bills. Another $42 late fee, for what? I'm not sure. $12 for internet services and $42 for kitchen amenities for the month of May, and restoration services for $47. What the fuck. I have been into the office space a grand total of 3 times. The first time for the sales pitch, the second time bringing my monitor to it and leaving an hour later due to the noise, and last time picking up my stuff and dropping my keys. But I'm $800 short and apparently still owe them close to $200. In their payment portal, there's no way to contact someone live, either via chat or phone. Left a message via the web form but no response. Tried calling the phone number on Regus website and it says to leave a message via the web form. Save your time and energy and go somewhere else. read more

Pros: Accessible by public transportation Walking distance to coffee, stores, and restaurants Upbeat office atmosphere Usually, ample desks to use Staff is friendly and tries to help After hours service is very responsive Cons: Long walk from Parking lots Must pay to park Scraping off the old parking sticker Busy streets with cars and buses constantly driving by Filthy streets. Trash everywhere Rats seen on streets and sidewalks in the morning Homeless people sleeping on sidewalks, or people soliciting Congested traffic trying to leave Getting access to the office is a process that they refuse to address before 8:30. Must enter code to a lock box and then unlock the door, while holding the door and returning the FOB to the lock box. Must walk past the front door to enter from a side street entrance because they can't provide a FOB. Once in the common entrance to use stairs or the elevator, there is always the odor of Cannabis from dispensary below our space. Dishes always stacked in the sink and water goes everywhere Always out of either paper towels or soap in both kitchen and restrooms. Office smells musty, pungent Mice Loss of power on the lower level frequently. It's either cold or hot. AC runs in the winter on upper level. Restrooms (Men's) smells bad. Not cleaned properly. Great location, but terrible customer service both on and off site. I've been am individual member for over a year and I would cancel but they make it so hard to do that!. The kitchen is often a mess with dirty dishes, the WIFI is unreliable. For almost 10 days now there have been no paper towels in the kitchen or bathrooms. The front desk staff is completely useless in resolving any of this. I overheard another member ask the woman at the desk why she can't just go down the block to CVS and buy some paper towels until the shipment came in, and she said (with a straight face) that she didn't have approval from management to make that kind of decision. Unbelievable! The front desk staff tends to sit there and scroll through their phones rather than attend to customer needs. Must be nice to have a job like that. This has a been a disappointing interaction with this company's site in Somerville MA called SPACEs. Signed up with them as I had a need for a virtual office and conference room facilities when needed. Sounded good on paper and the sales pitch was good. Past few months have been a nightmare as they can't even collect mail correctly. The customer service is more like cheery lip service if you need anything corrected or need any information. No one ever gets back to you. The manager never responds to email. They are really good at billing you though. I am looking for an alternate as soon as possible. I do not recommend the Regus site in Somerville. Your mileage may vary if you rent an office on site and are there every day. Perhaps that is a better experience. read more

Deceptive business practices. Stay away. Raised my month-to-month office agreement by 30%. When I attempted to cancel (with sufficient notice, per our agreement) they disabled the option to cancel online and instead RENEWED ME FOR ADDITIONAL SIX MONTHS at the elevated rate, WITHOUT MY APPROVAL. They cannot produce a copy of anything with my signature on it. I will likely have to sue to get out of this situation. read more

While you may be able to get service from the people on-site, their billing department and customer service for the national organization is deceptive and a nightmare. After COVID they offered me a unique discount and then proceeded not to apply it to my account for months and ignored all my communications to correct it. In addition, they opened a new account in my name after I made it clear I wanted to cancel so they could continue to charge me after my contract term. There was no way to know there was a problem because their app showed the accounts as expired, but they continued to charge me though the new account that had never been disclosed to me. They may have a cheaper list price than some of the other local coworker spaces, but dealing with their customer service is not worth the pain and suffering. Go elsewhere. You can check the review for the Newbury location as well for similar complaints about bait and switch tactics and BBB reviews in other states about the challenges people have had breaking their leases and continuing to be charged for months after contacts end. The front desk staff here is incredibly unprofessional, unfriendly, and add any other un you would like here. They neither greet you or acknowledge you as you walk into the office. They definitely never smile. And you are SOL if you ever need their assistance. Most of the time I see them playing video games on either their personal computers or on the phone. Another key point, they are almost always on their personal phones doing personal stuff (whatever it is). If for some unfortunate reason you have to ask them for something, they act as if you are asking them to move a mountain and never are they pleasant to talk to. I am a current member and I plan on writing up an official complaint to the company about the attitude of the front desk staff. Luckily for the front desk, I am incredibly busy. Otherwise, I would be making it a point to complain every day until both the front desk employees are either fired or replaced. I don understand why Regis makes such poor choices when hiring customer service professionals. While both the employees need to be removed from their positions, it seems that Regis as a company is simply not interested in customer service. I would not wish for anyone to deal with them. If you are getting paid to sit at the front desk then you are also getting paid to properly greet and serve the customers that come to your office. I like my office space, but good luck to you if you ever have a billing issue. The only thing they are good at is using any opportunity to impose a $100+ late fee if there is any issue, even if it's THEIR issue. Trust me, find another place to rent an office, it's not worth the emotional and financial toll. I have had the front desk try and help me, they have petitioned on my behalf and it just falls on deaf ears. They don't care about you, the only thing they care about is extracting as much money as they can while they have you in their clutches. Quite frankly if I had it to do over again I would work out of my car. read more

This experience has been a nightmare I swear and I am not one to write reviews on service because sometimes companies just have a rough time which is completely understandable but this company is not that. I recently signed up with this company for a virtual address which I thought would be a great experience and it has not been. I was told that I would be charged a pro-rated amount for the month of January since I did not have access until the 12th of the month, they ended up charging me the full amount anyways. I wouldn't mind paying that amount if I knew I was paying that amount it makes not sense! Trying to resolve this issue has also been a nightmare they keep telling me someone will call in 24 to 48 hours, its been a week and no one has contacted me. I hate to be this person but I would highly recommend going with another company if you are looking for a business address. read more
