Sometimes the store is not as clean as I would like, but who cares as long as they treat me well. They always come out and ask if I want them to pump my gas. I prefer doing it myself. I don't have a single complaint. Their gas prices are a little higher than the cheap stations, but you get what you pay for. I would rather pay a couple of pennies more knowing my engine will not be damaged by using cheap gas. I have a 2025 Rav4 plug-in hybrid XSE, and I want it to last for many years.

They even gave me a free car refresher, which was a nice touch since most places don't do that anymore. Only downside: the vacuums cost 75¢ and run for about 15 minutes. There wasn't any rain either. The sides of my car were okay but between the person doing an initial light scrub and the whole car wash, my car still left dirty. And the vacuums have wide mouths so they can't get between seats or any small space on top of having weak suction. Better off vacuuming at home or spending the money at a different wash.

It's nice that our gas is less than that of Washington State for the first year ever, but it's still not a favorite for most to get out and pump. The attendant offered to pump my gas, and I quickly agreed. He even washed my windows! I had to look around to ensure I was not in full service! When I asked him, he said, "He likes being helpful". I was so taken aback, feeling so thankful for Safeway and Astoria Oregon's vibe.

I think I've been to this location 2, maybe 3x -- only when I leave Portland for a day trip out this way. I didn't even make it to a handful of times, before they lost my gas cap. When I called about it, they wouldn't tell me anything about whether they had a stash of lost gas caps or if there was any chance mine was there. They said I'd have to stop by the location. And they weren't any more helpful in person. It took me 7-8 months to find a replacement gas cap, at a friendly Astro station that was willing to give me their box of lost caps, to see if any would fit my car. Thanks to the honorable, ethical folks at Astro who admit they make mistakes and are eager to help their customers.
