Nancy is the chillest woman in the west suburbs, so much so that I often forget the season we're in when I'm out of my clothes and on her table, in a cozy little room with several reminders to forget one's trouble. I don't care about the occasional sound from the outside world, my preoccupations fade, and I generally lose all concept of time and discomfort - physical or mental. She doesn't do the deep tissue thing, so don't call her if you prefer to get beaten a little. She has, however, helped me tremendously with my TMJ issues, back pain, and overall state of relaxation. Generally, I start out on my back, then get a little cranio-sacral work, then flip over for the back attention. I like to go for 90 minutes ($115) when I can, but 60 is great too (only $75). She's got locations in the city too - Hubbard and Damen, I think. So call her if you're looking for a laid-back massage therapist at a nice price.

I have tried many different massage therapists, and no one is better than Michelle. I workout hard and regularly, and I've had a multitude of injuries. So, I have a pretty high maintenance body. The first thing she does at your first visit is go over your history and what your expectations are. Then she checks in at each visit. Do you need just a tune up or is something bothering you? She is extremely professional! Michelle is just amazing. She is so intuitive when it comes to the right pressure. She finds your hot spots and works through them without torturing you. She has a lot of nice extra touches such as a warm towel on your back or a heat pad on your lower back. She wipes your feet in a warm towel, as well. She always checks into make sure the temperature of the bed and her pressure are on point. She checks in somewhat frequently and she is extremely friendly, but she also lets you just relax during the massage. She has done an amazing job keeping my body ready for my rigorous workouts. Not only are her massage skills the best out there, she has a fabulous website. Check it out! You will get all of the info you need.
