I believe put in too big of implants than my body can handle. About 3 days after surgery my nipples started turning black and dying. And then 1 week later I go in just to have the Dr. RIP OUT MY IMPLANTS WHILE I AM STILL AWAKE! Talk about traumatizing!!! The dr then told me to go to hyperbaric treatment to try to save my nipples (ON MY OWN DIME) I had to pay $2,500 for this treatment that did not work!!!! I had to live over 1 month with 2 hard dead nipples. I truly believe he had no idea what to do, he thought they would heal and everything would be happy dandy. About a month later I went in for him to completely tear off my right dead nipple and then half of my left nipple luckily I was able to keep some of my left nipple. The T incisions became infected leaving me with gaping holes the size of silver dollars. I was then connected to a wound vac to both of my breasts for damn near 2 months to heal my holes and non existent right nipple. Almost A YEAR LATER, he finally put my implants in again and lo and behold they were smaller thank god but SMALLER!!! Tiny!! Doesn't even look like a boob job they are saggy and so sad!!! Once my implants finally healed, he "googled" some tattoo shops to tattoo me a nipple and sent me on my way, oh I also had to pay for the nipple I lost because of him. Please for the love of god to NOT GO HERE!!!! Save yourself and your body. This has been the most traumatic experience I have ever gone through in my entire life. I just wanted to get my boobs fixed from childbirth and having 2 completely different sized breasts my whole life, to coming out looking like a damn freak!!!!!! I will never be the same again

First of all, I loved that he sat with me & explained ALL the pros/cons (of the surgery in general & of the different types of implants) in my consultation, so I could make an informed decision whether to proceed. I had a list of questions that he thoroughly answered. I sat with him for probably 45 minutes to an hour. His nurses, Elizabeth & Sarah, were extremely warm & knowledgeable about the surgery and pre/post op procedures. I called numerous times prior to surgery ( to ask about medication interactions, changing the size I wanted, types of post-surgery bras they recommended, etc) & they graciously answered my questions or had Dr. Park call me within the next hour. I've wanted to get the surgery done for a decade but was too anxious about complications and horror stories I saw online. But after my consultation & going into the surgery I felt 10000% confident in my decision. He sized me perfectly, accounting for my scoliosis & how one side of my chest protrudes out further than the other. His nurses also let me go into the office on Dr. Park's surgery days so I could try on sizes with different tops that I brought. I just looked them up on MySharp.com and they didn't know my dermatologist but his front desk assistant, Magna, was so sweet to squeeze me in the schedule, give me directions and check on me while I was waiting to see the doctor. Dr. Cardona was so personable and explained every step. I know my injury was comparable to a paper cut (taking only 9 tiny stitches) in his world but he said that I was right to come in and treated me with the utmost care. He gave me the same time and care as he did all of his other patients who, I noticed, were severely injured and in real need of surgery. They all put me at ease and treated me as a person instead of a number. And I was in and out of there in less than 2 hours with NO appointment !!

Further down the line, I naively thought that the asymmetry was caused by mask wearing, however that is just not possible. Upon looking at photos of my Day 6 nose, it is clear to see that the same deformities I am suffering now were evident at that stage as well - which means that the mistakes were made during surgery. However, the problems continued. I tried to tell myself I was happy with the surgery as I had paid $7000 and I naively believed that the deformities would heal up over time. I reached out to Vida clinic with photographic evidence of the lop-sidedness of my nose in September 2025. was told that I would have to wait a few months until my one-year post op review in august, so I did. I had my review and I told Dr Carlos Fuentes my concern, but he did not see the issue, encouraged me to wait longer, and he somehow thought my nose looked great... I contacted Vida again later, attaching photographic evidence of my even worse looking nose. I was told that it was outside of their one-year policy, so I did not pursue any further. In October 2025, after my kept nose getting even worse and I was becoming less happy, I sought a second opinion from Mr Patel ENT. I initially thought I would possibly be receiving steroid injections however I was told that there were numerous issues that would need to be fixed with only a revision rhinoplasty. I was distraught at this news and on the verge of tears, but I was happy that Mr Patel could visibly see my concern instead of gaslighting me like Vida Clinic as to a reasonable person my nose certainly did not look "fine." Mr Patel identified - misplaced cartilage causing the lump (not scar tissue) - no support at tip and will need rib cartilage to fix - v shaped deformity which is the indent/collapse at bridge that will need a graft to fix - significant asymmetry I contacted Harley Health Clinic one last time with this information, however I was unsatisfied with the response. They brushed off Dr Patel's opinion and I would not be given an appointment for several months if I were to be seen upon fee. I do not trust Dr Carlos Fuentes's skills especially as he has not been able to acknowledge any error, and I do not think he would be able to fix my nose. I have been left with PTSD due to my botched rhinoplasty and have had to seek counselling to come to terms with it. I expected my nose would not be perfect, but it is worse than it was pre- surgery. My natural nose was not asymmetrical, nor did it have abnormalities. I had heard stories of a minority of people having their rhinoplasty go wrong but never would I have thought I would be one of those people. My nose just gets worse and worse with time. It is now bigger as it was pre-surgery, except it is worse shaped and with no contour to it at all. I hate being seen from every angle and every lighting now as it just reveals more unflattering faults. Inside my nostril is swollen. I have breathing difficulties. My confidence is shattered. A once confident, bubbly, and happy girl, I have become depressed and no longer enjoy having my photo taken. I complained, but was slapped with "we deny wrongdoing because you signed a consent form" He has a lack of skill especially when it comes to people of colour, and his silence and gaslight his patients when they try to speak out. I have spoken to countless people who have had the same experience with Dr Carlos Fuentes , they just hush it or do their best to hide the truth. People, beware!!

The day after surgery I immediately noticed how uneven my nostrils were. I brought it to his attention and he brushed it off saying it was due to swelling. When I met with him for the cast removal I brought it up again and he said he would charge me $100 MORE to make the good nostril like like the bad one. Not once did he apologize or own up to his mistakes. My tip was lifted although we agreed he would not lift my tip, my bridge has a weird indentation, scars are extremely noticeable and ugly due to his sloppy stitches, nostrils are extremely uneven and shaped differently. I also suffer from breathing problems which is due to a deviated septum that I DID NOT have before surgery. This "surgeon" lacks so much empathy, professionalism, and talent. I now suffer from depression and he also refused to send me MY pictures. He obviously doesn't want to get sued. There was another review I read about him causing nerve damage to someone else. Please be very careful and do lots of research. There is a reason why he does not post good pictures of his work. I also remember waking up on the surgery table and being extremely scared. First time going under anesthesia so not sure if that's normal. Definitely going to look into a lawyer very soon.

I also had a really difficult nose to operate on in my opinion because of the shape and severe breathing problems. He fixed my problem perfectly and made my nose look a million times better. Horrible bedside manner: insulting, talks over me at all appointments, dismissive of my concerns pre and post op, very paternalistic in his approach and repeatedly at separate post op appointments tried to justify his results by saying "you should be happy with your results because before You looked like Mr. Peanut!" At my last appointment I finally had to tell him to stop describing me like "MR. PEANUT" because it is insensitive. He just shrugged his shoulders and looked at me with an expression like "well you looked like Mr. Peanut!" I had a brow asymmetry and needed my right eyebrow lifted and the edges of both brows pulled up "fox brows." I had been correcting with Botox for 10 Years and it was just becoming a burden and is tricky for injectors. I came in 3 separate times with Dr Chasen to go over and over what I wanted and be precise because he talked over me a lot and he brushed off what I said. I showed pictures of "fox brows," I pulled up my eyebrow edges to demonstrate, he said "yeah yeah I'll pull up from there." I felt unsure he understood what I wanted because our appointments were so quick and he talked over me, but his step daughter the billing intake assured me he knows what "fox brows" are and "I'd love the results!" I assumed an eyebrow lift must be such a straightforward easy procedure and must be why he is so dismissive. I paid 9k, even though I was quoted 5k by Dr Umansky in La Jolla, I paid more because I assumed being in Del Mar he must be good and since it is my face, it is worth it. He did my procedure in 30 minutes. After it settled my right brow was STILL lower, still requires Botox to make them even. I had no outward lifting, as in NO FOX BROW. He changed my arch to be a frown shape-so no arch and no fox brows, just 2 ugly frowns. At the first post op he said "I'll just add some Botox to lift your lower brow and if you're not happy-we can go back in under local and fix it!" When I came back he was in a bad mood, didn't even listen, said my head was tilted in the photo and they are actually "even" and "I've done this on thousands of patients and doing this for 30 years, I know more than you and if you don't like it, that's on you, I'm not touching it and if you want it fixed go somewhere else." And walked out and didn't even say good bye to me. Mind you-I was polite, kind, gentle when I admitted I didn't love my results and still think my right eyebrow just wasn't lifted enough. I said I wouldn't even be mad if we had to go back in to correct-i just wanted a good result. I had tears in my eyes, I even cried a little at the last appointment, I was never rude, I never yelled, I kindly asked him not to describe me as Mr Peanut, but otherwise did not deserve after spending all that money to be treated like a piece of shit. :( I'm don't know if I'm more upset about my treatment or my eyebrows. I do know that Dr Chasen figured out by my address that my husband is friends with his ex partner Dr Vince Marin whom they had a falling out with and perhaps this was a personal vendetta, who knows. At one of my first appointments he mentioned "my old partner Dr Marin always swore by sculptra and it never worked, that guy didn't know what he was doing!" Anyway, yes, it's better, but it easily could have been even and I did not get any lateral eyebrow raise/fox brows! I STILL have to correct them with Botox. The faja he gives you is not great quality, super big & no support, you will not use it in a few days. Ridiculous price on the fat transfer, about $3,000. Awake lipo sounds great, wish other nearby areas would do it.
