She was amazing at her job and so kind! She made sure we were comfortable before and followed up with us after about where we were tight/recommendations for stretches. Went here on Saturday for spa treatments with 3 friends. I had a good experience during my pedicure with Mimi and a nice massage. It was very clean and everything was nicely decorated. After completing my treatments for the day, I was sitting in the waiting room chatting with another friend who was also waiting while the others received their treatments. Seats are about 12' apart and masks are required due to social distancing. This means it's hard to hear the other person and you can't read lips. I was speaking at my normal volume when I was approached by an employee there who asked that I lower my voice, because there was someone receiving a massage in the room right off the waiting room. Well I knew this already, because this person was in my party. It was really rather offensive as I wasn't really speaking loudly, and I know my voice carries, but there is not much I can do about that. My conversation was not bawdy or inappropriate, I was just talking. And again, the way it's set up for distancing did make it difficult to converse with ease. I had a lovely service there, but quite frankly, I felt personally shamed and humiliated by the comments regarding my voice and left almost immediately after (feeling very uncomfortable) and waited for the others to finish elsewhere as I no longer felt welcome there. Having this comment happen at the end of the day left a bad taste in my mouth and kind of diminished the whole experience for me (and I don't do things like this often, it was a treat). For the record, I did ask my friend if she heard me during her massage and she said no. They did also have some scheduling issues for our appointments. It's worth coming for a service, if you watch your volume I guess. read more

Sat 8;45 AM Day at the Spa- started out well. Plenty of on street parking at that time! (The spa is well appointed and is upstairs and overlooks Broadway. Dont think they have an elevator). My mani/pedi with Mimi was great. Her work was meticulous. Facial with Stephanie was fabulous. Massage and exfoliating treatment with Josh was average. Timewise, it was more about the scrub than the massage. Several times the hot stones he used were WAY to HOT and I told him so but it still felt like my skin was being burned. Then the room became ice cold. I was not comfortable which left me anxious for his services to end! It wasn't until after when I came out of the room that he asked me how the pressure was! Well It was not deep enough and I had even requested a male masseuse in hopes he'd put some muscle into the massage. It was a Swedish massage which is not what I requested. The icing on the cake was when I learned that the 20% tip the spa expects u to leave is not based on the price of the package ($365) but is based on the individual prices of each service! The receptionist explained in a hushed tone that the package prices are discounted. Who knew! The Spa had $365 paid to them a year ago, earning interest as it was a gift card. You can prob figure out how I based my tip! The receptionist seemed annoyed at the amount I tipped as it seemed to screw up her bookkeeping. Lol. The place is very calming and Relaxing and all the staff are very friendly and make you feel comfortable. Samantha was our massage therapist and she was very skilled at her craft. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his massage and he goes often to another place near home but said this was an amazing experience she didn't miss a beat! I also enjoyed my experience as well. She did everything to make me feel comfortable and at ease. I would definitely recommend this place We had the aromatherapy massage and it was wonderful! The place is very nicely designed. The music in the waiting area was a little weird, even though it is a spa music I didn't feel it soothing but rather irritating and I was there with my sister and she pointed it out too. I did hydrofacial for the first time and the girl that did my facial was super friendly and explained everything nicely and gave some suggestions too. The music in the treatment room was much better than in the waiting area. Upon check in on the yelp I was offered 10% off coupon and I felt that the First Lady I asked at the front desk about ignored me and my request. Then upon checkout I was offered a full price, but after Mentioning the coupon the girl at the front felt irritated about it. Good idea, poor execution. I booked a gentleman's spa day that was advertised on their site. They said they weren't able to do half of the package. I was fine with that and went ahead and booked for 4 people ($700) with a 50% deposit. They called me a week before saying they could no longer do half of the service I booked -- keep in mind this was half of the original service. So we got 1/4 of the original package. I ended up overpaying for everything with my initial deposit and they wouldn't refund me. I bought overpriced product with some of the balance and still have a balance there. The massage itself was good, but not offering what you advertise and then cancelling what we booked and not giving a refund was kinda bad customer service. I went a different time and had no issues but I probably won't be going back. I still have money held hostage there so I guess I'll buy more products read more

I experienced my first massage and manicure today. Since I have never done it before I was a bit nervous. From the minute I entered they made me feel comfortable and at ease. The massage was very relaxing. I don't know that 90 minutes has ever gone by that quickly. My massage therapist made me feel at ease and was a great conversationalist. I was most nervous about the manicure but it was also enjoyable. I never considered myself the manicure type but wanted to try something that would help me quit chewing my nails. The results were great and it was professionally completed. I thought it might be uncomfortable but it wasn't. My nail technician was very friendly and made the time fly by. I received the best massage I've had in a long time. My manicure was great, and I managed to not freak out when my sensitive feet were getting a pedicure. I visited the spa yesterday for the "Day at the Spa" package, which my husband gifted to me for my birthday. The day started with a hot stone massage with Kylie which was heaven sent - I will definitely be back to see her. She was attentive, kind, and continuously checked on me to ensure I was enjoying myself throughout the day - not to mention she is an extremely skilled therapist! Next I was with Maria for the Coconut Cream Body Glow treatment and a facial. Maria was fantastic, and super knowledgeable. She made several recommendations to allow me to continue to care for my skin with the high quality products they offer. She tailored the recommendations to suit my concerns, and gave me a detailed schedule of when to use each product. The Coconut Cream Body Glow was just OK in my opinion, I probably wouldn't have opted for it outside of the package. Last but not least I visited with Mimi for a mani/pedi. She was as lovely as the other women, and her attention to detail was outstanding. My nails leave a lot to be desired because I habitually pick at my cuticles when I'm anxious. She made my hands look and feel like a million bucks. All in all, from the receptionist to each and every employee I interacted with, it was a lovely experience and I will definitely be back to spend time with them again! Honestly I had one of the best experiences. I am currently 39weeks pregnant and have lots of knots/pains everywhere. Perks of being pregnant lol I was in desperate need of a good deep tissue back massage and that's exactly what I received. I chose the 60 min prenatal massage. Josh was amazing. I mentioned to Josh in the beginning that I was okay with a deep tissue massage and am very happy with results. Being pregnant doesn't allow for the full ability to sink deep into the massage bed but in my opinion Josh did a wonderful job. One thing I regret is not booking for a longer slot. I'm just going to say that the customer service I just received on the phone was more amazing and as opposite of the other review of the spa I tried to make an appointment with and was left in the dust with no answer...made 2 appointments for my daughter and myself, and we were pleasantly greeted and made every possible accommodation for us to be as comfortable as possible. My massage with Lauren was amazing, she was very professional and sweet. Gave our daughter a gift certificate for a spa package for her birthday in September. She decided to use the massage and medi/pedi as a stress relief during finals in December. They charged her an extra amount of money (I believe she said $15) at the time of the service because the rates had increased since we bought the package. Sounds like a bait and switch to me. She said that the package was "awesome" and she loved the spa, but I am so disappointed in their policy that we will find another place for her next package. read more

Amy attends continuing education conferences and brings back the latest improvements. My latest pick is the Hydra Facial MD instrument. I purchased a package and get these every other week. The Hydra Facial machine is a resurfacing procedure that exfoliates extracts and then infuses antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid into the skin. With aging skin, I add on the derma builder and lymphatic draining with each treatment. I also take advantage of the Aerolase laser for wrinkle reduction and skin rejuvenation for the face and neck. My skin is now a lot brighter, free of facial discoloration (sun damage). It tightens the skin by building collagen. Re: latest trends; Amy shapes and tints my eyebrows. Because thicker brows are on trend, she is giving them a different shape while following the same contour that brightens the eyes. The tint adds more definition. She also adds eye lash extensions which last about a month. Unlike other extensions I have tried, these are all different lengths, and more natural looking. They also don't damage my natural lashes. If they fall off, my natural lash is still healthy. For special events, Amy does sunless tanning. One of the worst manicure/pedicures I have ever received and way over priced for the quality I received. I have received far better manicures/pedicures for less expensive. The color selection is lacking with not many colors to chose from. They had many different reds and a few other colors. I also asked to have a gel manicure instead of the regular manicure that came in my package figuring I would pay the difference. Not all woman have the ability to provide a gel manicure and my manicurist apparently wasn't able to do this treatment. The nail places I have been to all manicurists are able to perform a gel manicure with no issue! The woman who did my manicure did a horrible job. For starters, she was trimming my cuticles and it was quite painful on some fingers. I told her it was hurting and she responded by saying "oh do you not want me to trim your cuticles? Umm yes I do just don't hurt me!! I have never had a manicure where it hurt to trim my cuticles. The polish job was so sloppy. I was inspecting them when she left and told me to wait to let them dry. Most of the corners of my nails were missed and I had nail polish still on the skin around my nail. I asked her to fix them which she did yet pushed me back for my massage. Even after her fixing them they were horrendous. My massage was lovely yet beware there are no showers for guests to use to wash off all of the oil. This is not made known on the website and should be so guests can plan accordingly. Having to get dressed and continue with your plans for the day with oil everywhere is not pleasant!!! The woman who did the massage did wipe the oil off in between with warm wet towels but that only helps so much. When paying for my treatments, I expressed my disappoint with my services and showed the woman my nails. She would only offer 10% off my next treatment which I was on vacation and would not be returning. I thought more would have been done to address my displeasure for the services. I have been to many other places that address customers comments and want to make their customer satisfaction a priority. After the woman checking me out saw my nails and that was after me having the manicurist go back a second time, I was shocked she still had me pay full price for that quality of work. I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Spa Cascada! I called at 5:20pm to see if they had any last-minute availability for a manicure. Kathleen who answered the phone was extremely nice and gave me an appointment at 6:15, which I thought was perfect until I hit terrible traffic on the Northway. So, I called Kathleen back and explained that I would be late to the appointment and understood if I she would prefer that I cancel it. Kathleen said, "call me back in 20 minutes and let me know where you are and we can decide then." I called back in 20 minutes and told her I was still going to be about 15 minutes late. She said, "That's fine, definitely still come in." So, I showed up to my appointment 15 minutes late and was greeted with a smile and an offer for cucumber water. The Spa itself is adorable! Kathleen set me up at the nail station and then Kejhonna came out to do my nails. She was wonderful! Easy to talk to, bubbly and did a great job on my nails! She even suggested a different color than the one I picked out for my nails and it was perfect! So much better than the color I thought I wanted! I then sat to let me nails dry and both Kejhonna and Kathleen told me not to rush, even though it was well beyond the 7pm closing time at this point. I then cashed out and Kathleen was so helpful, even going into my purse to get my wallet so I wouldn't ruin my nails. Honestly, this is one of the best nail salon experiences I have had. I agree with Nancy. Most business ethic that I have ever experienced at a salon. Horrible experience and customer service. I came from 7 hours away to take photos for my wedding. I wanted a manicure the day before. I searched Saratoga spa reviews and found that this one was highly rated. I left a message via phone mail and email to book an appointment. I heard back and was confirmed for Sunday at 10 AM. The day before my appointment I called to confirm again, they said that it was written down as 11 not 10 so I rearranged my morning schedule to come an hour later. I arrrived on time 11 am Sunday and guess what? I wasn't in the system. This is after 3 phone calls and an email. The worst part was that the receptionist acted like I never called and it was my mistake. She just said sorry and didn't attempt to squeeze me in or offer to book me later in the day or call over a manager--- nothing. She just kept her large derrière in the chair and stared at me. Someone should fire that receptionist. I was looking for a place for manis and pedis for a bridal party of 10 and they are definitely not it. BIG MISTAKE!!! read more
