The reason for the one-star rating is not the quality of the massage, which was very good. What I…read moredid not like was that the overall experience was not at all calm or soothing. I had never had a Chinese massage before, so didn't know what to expect, but from what I've now read online, the general atmosphere of this place is similar to other places that do Chinese massage. My husband and I had massages in the same room (I had requested separate rooms) and the two masseuses more or less constantly talked back and forth to each other. We were behind only a thin partition, so we could hear people in the waiting area talking and laughing the whole time. I was in the midst of getting dressed when someone came in to change the sheets on the massage table to get ready for the next client. Privacy and a calm environment are clearly not meant to be part of the experience. My husband said later that it felt as though we were getting massages in the lobby of a Chinese restaurant and it gave us a good laugh! It was definitely an interesting experience but one that neither of us would ever want to repeat. Feeling relaxed is as important as the quality of the massage, and relaxing this was not!.

We drive everywhere and everything is in a short distance of each other. Needless to say my body, more specifically, my legs have been sore! I was in the area and googled massage. The first place was asking $100 - out of budget. Massage Concept quoted me $55/ 30 minutes. It's 4 of us so I decided to give them a try. My ONLY regret was not booking an hour session. This is one of the best massages I have ever experienced in my life! The ambiance is calm and relaxing. The facility is clean. Every one was so kind. The front desk rep "Sonya" perhaps that's her name was a sweetheart. The two massage technicians my girlfriend and I had was Rakachine and Zahia were AMAZING!!!!!!!! We were so sad we couldn't book them for future appointments. So I had to leave this review. My next visit back I will definitely book them. I had Rakachine and her hands and energy are spectacular. Blessings to this business for being so accommodating!

We stopped the session early because it was that unpleasant. When we asked to speak to the manager, he stepped away for 5 minutes pretending to call his boss, only to come back and say no refund or gesture of any kind was possible with a smile that made clear he didn't take the complaint seriously. For the price charged, we expected a minimum of professionalism and consideration, especially as repeat clients. Instead we felt like nothing more than a transaction. Can't recommend.

Thai Elixir is located in the 12th and is a minute away from a Metro exit. The massage parlor is tiny so make sure to speak in soft voices when entering. Was presented a pair of slippers to change into upon arrival along with a welcome to chill out in the lobby until my appointment. The massage book place in a curtained off partition of a private room with a door. Clothes are placed on a hook by the door while the therapists came in and out of the curtain which was odd...making it a touch harder to relax while being mindful of belongings. The massage itself was decent. Requested for a strong therapist and the therapist delivered a medium strong massage. There were numerous stretches which was nice. Massage started off with a hot towel on the feet while the massage took place with undergarments and with a towel. The traditional Thai massage doesn't use oil. 55€ for a 1 hour Thai massage

While the website is in French, and it isn't very easy to create an account for English speakers (the site never did send me a registration code for account confirmation), finding pricing is easy enough. I ended up scheduling an appointment in person the evening before. At every encounter, the staff were friendly and professional. This was a traditional Thai massage in the sense that the masseuse was on the table using her knees, forearms, and elbows, in addition to her hands. It was clear my masseuse was skilled in her craft and attentive. She pushed me right to my edge with the pressure. I literally feel like I have a new body. If I lived here, I'd be here regularly.

So before heading off on holiday with the family this Xmas I decided to squeeze in a day devoted to me and only me. I wanted this very special day to start with a super indulgent spa treatment with the goal of checking out from reality 100%, leaving my mind and my body total mush. A lot easier said than done, starting with choosing the right place to indulge! I finally chose Ban Sabaï after reading the incredible reviews on Yelp (thanks Cécile F for nailing it!) and booked a three hour spa treatment from 10am-1pm on a Friday morning. I counted down the days and then the hours to this take-off to bliss as if my life depended on it. Once the morning came I was giddy with excitement! Three hours of indulgence! Holy crap! As soon as I stepped into the dark, fragrant spa full of welcoming, smiling people, I could feel my blood pressure starting to drop and my mind letting go. There was still work to be done but the effects were immediate. I was led to a private room down a long hall underground that was like a modern crypt. In it were two beds, a very fancy shower and a candle-lit jacuzzi. Hello!! The treatment began with a warm shower, then led into a 50-minute gommage/ massage that was amazingly relaxing and super soothing. A quick hop into the shower again to wash away the exfoliant and then I was brought to the bath to soak for 30 minutes while sipping tea and nibbling on fresh fruit. DIVINE! But the best party was definitely saved for last: a 1.5hr Thai massage that was by far the best massage I've ever had!! My petite, adorable masseuse actually hopped up on the table several times to get the best pressure/angle combo to combat all of the tension in my neck and back. Needless to say the only thing that made the end of the massage palatable was the promise of something to settle my now-grumbling stomach, which had worked up an appetite after all of this intense zenitude. I walked out onto the street zapped, limp, stoned in search of something delicious to eat. Mission accomplished!

There are 2 locations next to each other: the one with an entrance Rue St.Antoine is for feet massages and the one around the corner on Rue de Lesdiguières is the one you're looking for. I asked for the 50 minute traditional Thai massage (85€) but after having one of the better massages I've had, I decided to go for the 10 pack which brings the price down to 65€. Very professional and friendly, my masseuse asked throughout the massage if the pressure was right. I brought my own swim trunks but it was not necessary. They provided me with extremely baggy pants that I tied on and a button up shirt. After the massage, I was delighted to be served hot tea with a plate of fresh fruits. An impressive end to a superb massage.
