Now I am in this area more, and more. So my daughter referred me to Dr. Amy Edwards. So this is where it all begins. Selecting an excellent dermatologist can literally mean a difference in life and death. This is no exaggeration. Skin cancer runs in my family and being here at Lake Texoma and a pool at home increased my possibility even greater for skin cancer. My Mom, Dad, Amanda, and I have had small places removed. So I went in for a pre-cancer screening. Dr. Edwards is very thorough, and asked questions and made suggestions. I do use a sunscreen and have for a long time. But what I didn't know, is the fact they make clothing with Sunscreen Protection. These clothes will have a UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) rating. I never knew. She suggested I wear the shirts while outside doing yard work etc. Told my son about this, and of course he already knew. He always wears Magellan shirts that have a UPC 50 sun protection. I thought he wore those shirts because he is hot natured like me. Silly ole me, always the last to know. So I did have a spot removed to be tested. I will not worry about this spot, until I have something to worry about. But since I haven't been in Dallas much, or around any doctors. This was my chance to inquire about Botox and fillers. YES, Dr. Edwards does both. These injectables require skills as well as an artistic talent. To have the injections is one thing. But to see the face as a piece of art, and Dr. Edwards has the ability to improve it? Why not? So not only is she magnificent but her nurse and administrative staff is top notch. So I left with a spot removed, and Botox. Yeah me! Killed 2 birds with one stone. Front desk ladies were very attentive. Mask worn, fever checked upon entry. The mask rules are definitely enforced. The only downside is that my Nav took me to the old location,( the Blue-gray building in the picture) - Bare is not there anymore, but 1 block to the West, with the entrance on the corner of Crockett and Lamar, in a Large, white Buildng. The order & pick up method needs a major overhaul. When someone finally did come over to help me, several extra steps (unnecessary, I may add) were taken to scan the order in and hand it over to me. If an order's already been pulled, wrapped and stickered with my name, why are we scanning, unwrapping and scanning again before I can take it and leave the store? This location is convenient for the most part, but if the pick up method doesn't change soon, I'll just be ordering from somewhere else.

I didn't want to bother cause I saw that the salon lady was already servicing someone. so I waited until someone came up to the counter. One lady did and I told her I wanted a highlight and root touch up and i asked how much that'd cost. she looked at me like she was grossed out by me and said under her breath "yeah girl we can tell you need that" then just gave me the price chart and left. we all have bad days! and she looked like she was in a hurry. So I understand being brief but the comment was not necessary. for reference i am a 17 year old girl and she looked like she was in her late 20s. How weird. I didn't get her name because I walked out very quick because i was kinda embarrassed about the whole interaction . so for now I'm skipping going to this Ulta and just ordering online lol
