This church changed my life. I've attended for 3 years now. There truly is a sense of community, and "come as you are" culture.

Went with my broheim homie in the Faith Joe to a church in his side of South FL: The 305... Coming from the 954's well known Calvary Chapel I was excited to see what the hype was about... Ok so let's me it happen Captain... The overall vibe felt like a Church By The Glades type feel and nothing wrong with that... but I come to church to hear the Word of God be preached at a level to sink the Love of God straight into my heart... Did I get that here? Yes, I did. Todays speaking preacher was great. She related her experiences to what we may be going through with life and she coordinated the scriptures great and I could feel my heart connect w/ God(only peeps who connected with God know about this feeling). Overall this church is Gangster for God, and it was a cool visit. But of course I had to eat after and bounce... because... I live in the 954 and stuff. read more

Under a new Pastor's direction, Brave has come into a new era, ready to love on others and wholeheartedly wants to unite more souls to follow Jesus Christ's teachings. I came and I was welcomed by Pastor Erica who shines so brightly in this space. Looking forward to learn more about the Bible and the Bible's teachings. I started serving in the Church's creative team and I am learning new things to serve Jesus and my community. I have been coming since March 2023 and looking forward to see what Jesus has in store for my soul. Started going to Brave in December and I have to say, this church is so community oriented and cares so much about honoring people and community. The Pastors are incredible and care so much about connecting with all types of people that step foot in the building. You will always see them in the lobby before and after service talking to all types of people and families. I love how the church also prioritizes the young generation and has so many opportunities for youth students. The Youth Pastors are some of the kindest and funniest people and truly care about students and their well being! They also ensure that EVERY student finds community and is able to grow their relationship with God. All the teams in this church are like one big family who call each other up and always honor and respect. One of my favorite things about this church is how the pastors don't preach about their opinions and their politics. They preach about THE WORD and JESUS CHRIST. It is so amazing to see that in a church, since it can be so easy to get caught up in current events and just start preaching one's opinions. Throughout my time in the church I have met amazing people and heard incredible testimonies. I have learned so many things from so many leaders and am proud to call Brave my second home! If you want to start going to church but are a little hesitant, I can assure you that this church and the people in it truly carry the meaning of what it is to love like Jesus, you will not be ridiculed or feel like an outsider, you will be brought in like family! read more

If I could describe Central Church in one word it would be HOME. I grew up in church for most of my childhood. Then strayed during teen years to early adulthood. I knew when I was looking to congregate in a church it had to be the right fit for me. My first impression was, this is amazing. The correct way, people to focus on loving God and not judging the person sitting next to you. We are all broken people. When we come together and surrender ourselves to HIS love, grace, and forgiveness there is no better place to do so, then at Central. YOU BELONG HERE, isn't just a saying. It is meant. From the loving, humble, and amazing pastors, to the staff, and those who serve with a giving heart. This place becomes HOME to so many. As well as it has become for me. This is a review based on my attending service at this church while on my journey to find a compatible church since my recent move to this area, and I'm going to call it like it is. Is the pastor adorable? Is his wife and family wondrous? Certainly. The pastor has shades of a young Tom cruise in his most appeal. Did I find this sufficient to mark this as a church to return to, to get shepherded by? Most certainly not, as this is never a measure one should use in order to discern the spiritual values of any ministry. What did I find? There were moments of confusion whether I was in a church or a nightclub, a place of worship or a stand-up show. First off, a lot of members of that church were dressed for clubbing, tight clothes, plunging necklines. Of course this is the fare these days, but this practice is not in line with the Bible---as Paul says in 2 Corinthians 7:1 holiness involves completion in spirit AND body. Who dresses the temple of God in clubbing clothes? Someone not taught the ways of God in full. Second of all, it's dark in there like a club with just spotty lighting. Then the music, like so many churches, is worldly. Third of all, given honor in the sermon was top ten lists of a talk show host who routinely has his words bleeped on his shows in censorship. Huh? One has to resort to peppering the Word of God with top ten lists from sinners as a way to teach the people how to get to heaven? That shows me a worldly focus that is not from God. I say to ccmiami, turn on the lights: the word of God is powerful enough. It doesn't need these worldly entrapments/moods that come from places of the enemy---nightclubs, ungodly music and corruptions reigns in those places, the ways of the world. To take the ways of the world to bring people into the church is to sit at the table of demons while trying to sit at the table of the Lord, and the Bible makes clear you can't do it. You will bring another gospel with this dual stance. It cannot be done. CCMiami, take an example from the late David Wilkerson, who touched on this in his sermon David Wilkerson- Last Days Deception. If Your Church Is Not Preaching All The Bible & Repentance Run, which can be seen on YouTube. I have this to add to ccmiami: the word of God is preached in it's fullness without any kind of changing it in order to appease anybody. It holds great power and stands fully on its own to hold the people, to convict the people, to return the people to the ways of God and back to the same altar every Sunday...when it is preached in its fullness and not compromised to appease the world, that kind of appeasing which Wilkerson goes into in his sermon I mentioned above. To the public reading this I say: I do not believe the pastor of ccmiami is purposefully committing evil for his own designs as we know there are false apostles doing today, but that he is in darkness about his situation and how he is running his church, which is in perfect blessing with his organization which is another story---yet not all Assemblies of God follow this way to keep the mood of a nightclub active, all lights dimmed, theatrical club mood, and making use of all kinds of modern effects and technology add interest to his sermons. What a far place that is from when Paul, dirty and chained, held audience to prison mates and made conversions just on the power of the truths of the Word. If the Word of God is properly rendered it doesn't need special effects or sideshows to draw the crowds and fill the pews. When the Word is properly rendered it is alive, active and pierces to bone and marrow, it's razor sharp, it electrifies, it brings a listener to profound godly convictions which are in and of themselves an end all and need no worldly edges. CCMiami and all other similar churches, which I've found to be too many here in Miami, who are presenting these worldly hooks as the reason attending church with them have strayed from the living Word and they're walking by the measures of men. Such 'other' gospels are not going to lead you to heaven, that's the problem. Those other gospels are not leading men to heaven, they're leading men to men. To feel the need to resort to such tactics, not only insults the Lord, but it's a grief that the people are not being properly shepherded in order to make heaven but misled and kept in varying levels of darkness that prevents entry into heaven. As clear from other reviews here, ccmiami has a campaign slogan which reads You Belong Here. But I add to that you belong there only if you want to be part of a Romans 10:2 church, which is one that has a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. Personally, since I am serious about making heaven, I only want part of an Ephesians 4:21-24 church, which operates in the full truth of Jesus to imitate the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. read more

Central Church boasts the message "You Belong Here", and they make sure that you know it. They have it written on the walls, they have it printed on the flyers, and they say it during every single service. I could not imagine a better church to belong 'at'. I have been coming here for just a few short months, but already every Sunday I find myself excited to wake up and go to Central Church. As far as Miami goes, this church is not only the most welcoming...it's the most relevant. What causes Central Church to stand out against all of the other churches in the area is that you will never sit through a service while being read to from the bible. You won't find yourself bored, wondering what you're eating for lunch after, or what game is on today. The pastors at Central Church do a fantastic job at keeping things upbeat, relate-able, and funny. Every single message thus far hits close to home, whether it be about myself, my family, or my friends. I have yet to leave here without a better understanding of the world around me, and a stronger sense of urgency to be the best person I can be. I truly feel blessed to have found Central Church, and I have no doubt in my mind that I belong here. If you are looking for a church to join, or one to bring your friends and family to..this is the one. Enter the doors for any of their 4 services, and find yourself in an environment that invigorates and enlightens you in ways you wouldn't expect. The church's slogan "leading people to love people" is entirely conditional on you being fully devoted to Brave in time, money, and affiliation. After having attended Brave myself for several years, as well as serving and building deep relationships, there is this attitude that the pastors, staff, and die-hard attendees have towards individuals who choose to leave and pursue other church options, and that is: Leave brave, and we will disassociate ourselves from you. This is incredibly ironic, and there are countless stories of this, including other pastors. This is an important thing to note because while it's very easy to establish what seem to be meaningful relationships here, there is a high probability of it ending in hurt and disappointment. Brave comes off as very cultish, and it's members don't seem interested in interacting with Christians who don't go to Brave. Then there is the pastor David Stocker Jr, who I'd say is more of an average motivational speaker at best. You can expect the preaching to be a typical "you are awesome and have an amazing purpose on your life", and then you're asked to make a superficial decision at the end to accept Christ despite not first hearing why you need him in the first place. As a result, the gospel is poorly represented here. There is no mention of sin, God's justice, the cross and why Christ had to die on it. The preaching is pleasing to the flesh when Christ has said we must die to our flesh. Scripture is also poorly explained and often taken out of context. While I honestly don't believe David is trying to deceive people, I have listened to enough of his sermons to conclude that he simply does not understand how to properly handle the Bible. He pulls random verses and infuses his own message and meaning into the text without first considering the overall context. This is basic stuff that pastor David can't seem to get, and it's an incredibly important point, because in a world full of subjective truths, the church really needs to stand for what is true, and that is God's word, properly handled. David and the staff, unfortunately, don't take criticism very well, and David has removed any sort of accountability. The staff and members of the church will do everything in their power to stifle off criticism. The church overseers are all in different states and even different countries. Half of the board of directors are handpicked. This allows David to say whatever he wants from the stage, or behind the scenes, with impunity, which includes announcing to the whole congregation that his wife had been unfaithful and his intention to divorce her. It means David can regularly host expensive staff "meetings" in Brickell's WeWork location, despite having a perfectly suitable church building. It means countless pointless trips across the country that does nothing but benefit his own mileage account while inexperienced preachers preach in his place. All in support of the "vision" that actually has zero biblical support for doing any of it. Everything at Brave is emotion-driven. Keys played towards the end of each sermon are designed to stir you up. The staff and die-hards that sit in the front two rows are trained to jump to their feet every time David's voice starts to get a little louder. I would encourage every person who chooses to go to Brave to bring their Bible, follow along in the reading, and see for yourself if what is being said from the stage, regardless of who is saying it, is true. This should be true for any church, traditional or otherwise. There is no church that is perfect, I agree. There is no perfect Pastor. But that is no excuse to not be biblical. And that is really what it comes down to at the end of the day. Are we going to be biblical, or are we not? I am all for today's Church's adopting new ways to reach the lost, but Brave has taken it to a point where they are more interested in being relevant to the world, that they now actually look like the world. read more

Central Church is a home. You cannot deny the presence of the lord. Immediately, you feel the love and acceptance from everyone you meet which is a reflection of Jesus Christ. All preachings are bible based. They have excellent and clean childcare facilities with well prepared teachers and caregivers. There is also a special service for the children located in a small sanctuary called Central Kids. The teenagers also have their own location where they are able to connect with God at their level. At Central there is a place for everyone! "You Belong Here" is written on a huge mural on the outside church wall and is a true statement. We are melting pot of people just like our beautiful city! read more

my family and i moved a few months ago to Miami and was looking for a church home been coming to this church for a little over a month but the more i went the more i realized that this isn't the place for me or my family, and ill look elsewhere and wont be coming back I felt like this place is more like a social club than a place of worship.
