However, the two women I spoke with practically accused me of criminal activity for a mistake THEY made OVER A YEAR AGO. This is completely unacceptable! When I started crying on the phone, she told me I was being emotional. They made no effort to apologize, accept responsibility, or offer sympathy for the inconvenience or anxiety they caused me. Regions has to use a third party to verify the check. Fair enough. Except this joke of a third party got tired of waiting on hold with Fidelity and told Regions that they couldn't approve the transaction. Regions stated there was nothing they could do. This all happening in the middle of tax season, where a company like Fidelity receives a higher call volume than usual, so much that they notate this via recording at the beginning of a call. I had cashed a check from the the same account a week prior with no problem, and was asked if I would consider opening account with them. I think not! If this bank is incapable of cashing a simple check, then what in the hell is the point of the bank? I will drive to Savannah to cash checks from now on. It is worth the drive and gas to avoid wasting my time with this level of unprofessionalism.
