I made the mistake of making an "appointment" today. First of all they didn't start on my manicure until 1 hour after my appointment time. The nail tech was in a huge hurry to trim my cuticles and apply my polish. She did a horrible job! She didn't apply the polish up to the cuticles and it looks like crap. I won't be back. read more

I truly love Southside it's the only nail salon I choose to go to in town, and I've had many great experiences here. However, I've noticed that I'm consistently not pleased with the work of one specific nail technician. A typical visit for me is about one to one and a half hours, but my appointment tonight took nearly 2.5 hours for a simple French acrylic set. I also noticed what appeared to be dried blood on the technician's hands, which raised some concerns for me about overall sanitation. In addition, the nail shape often ends up uneven despite the extended time spent on the service. Dip manicure. The first one was too thick. I decided to give them one more chance. This took over an hour, the first time I was there I had dip nails and a pedicure in less than an hour. This time she cut my cuticles with an emery board multiple times. The nail on my index finger is crooked. I requested a cuticle trim that I didn't get and she didn't understand what I was saying when I was trying to ask about it. So disappointed. This was $50 plus tip. Not going back. read more

overall it was a good service... The only thing is that when my acrylic set was finished my nail started to burn and hurt. I came back to the salon after the pain got worse. I live over an hour away from this salon and I asked if I was able to get a discount on my nails because there was a problem with the set that got put on. The lady that helped me argued with me that it was unfair that I politely asked if there was any chance to get a discount because my nails were burning and hurt badly. read more

I was not pleased today with the pressure I was given to choose a more expensive pedicure than what I selected. I wasn't asked just once, but several times. I had considered a manicure, but decided against it after this type of sales tactic. The pedicure was good. No problem with that. Just don't like high pressure. read more

I'm throwing out two stars to this place for overall polish (gel) application. So far, it's been three hours since I left and the polish is still hanging on. Stand by for updates... Overall, this salon seemed clean and staff members were apparently pleasant; however, I was tag teamed by two employees... meaning, while I tried to relax during my pedi, someone was working to get my mani complete. This was awkward, for one... At first, I felt like royalty, but that was very short lived. To spare many more details, here's the big picture... I left with two slightly bloody toes and one bloody finger - around the cuticle, of course. If you don't get my edges, what are you doing? Don't you dare expect a "massage". I paid $85 dollars and had to tip twice for the tag team duo. Human decency... SMH. That price for a basic manideathpedi, no thank you. Mike did my gel manicure for the second time, and for the second time, he severely nicked my cuticles. He is a dangerous nail tech with no care for clients and I will never let him touch my hands again. I requested simple nail art, with dots and straight lines, and the lines are definitely crooked. Don't waste your time here - it took them two hours to do just a very basic manicure and paint my nails. They don't know how to manage a busy crowd at all & were very rude to me the entire time. I left with paint on my fingers and smudges on my nails. So many other places in town - skip this one! Came in on a Monday afternoon, around 2pm & their business was still pretty busy at that time! I didn't call ahead for an appointment, thinking who'd be getting Mani/Pedis that early on a Monday! I'd actually suggest that now, seeing as during my visit there was a steady flow of people. Tons of parking spaces and a big sign to let me know where they are. As I walked in, I was greeted and asked what services I was looking to get done. To the right as you enter is the drying station, left is the register and polishes. I was asked to wait 15 minutes since all the staff were busy. Took a look over their polish colors & really liked the options! After waiting for said amount of time, I was told to go ahead and sit in the pedi chair and that I'd be tended to in a few. No biggie again, I noticed the remote for the massages (: My specialist was Eed, who was definitely a pleasure! She was talkative but also tedious with her work. I enjoyed her massage as well, went with the $35 honey scrub pedi. I was so sad when she finished lol Also decided on mood change gel nails, with a manicure. LOVE THEM! We were interrupted a few times by Eed having to answer the phone, but I remained patient and she made up for it in the end. My time here in Ohio is short, but I will not be going anywhere but here (and to Eed, even tho the other ladies seemed wonderful too) for my nails needs! read more

Horrible experience. That woman who did my pedicure rushed through it aggressively. We were supposed to get our nails done after and she just completely disregarded the fact so we left. Horrible job in the pedicure as well.. nail Polish all over my toes, lots of dead skin left, uneven toenails and parts of my toenails are not painted! Would not recommend. read more

Best place for a pedicure in Findlay! Honestly the best massage I've ever had with a pedicure! Get the honey sugar scrub pedi. I've had a difficult time finding a nail place I really really like. Last minute I decided to try Southside and invited my mom. Probably one of the best nail experiences I've had. All the ladies were nice, friendly, and always smiling. Our nails look good and most importantly we were treated with genuine kindness. I made an appointment with a friend and they were quite busy. Very friendly and nice but felt the pedicure was lacking. My nails were not trimmed uniformly. I had to ask for it. My heels were still left dry and calloused. I had to go home and still use the grater and lotion on my feet. The massage chairs do not give a very good massage.
