Great professional Vet! Saw all three of my cats. Made it much easier than bringing them all to the vet.

I've decided to try a new place near my house. Turn out, these people are awesome. For one thing, the checkup was FREE for me since I've adopted my pup from the Atlanta Humane Society(45$ by VCA PAPT). They perform a stool check for my pup again for FREE (50$ by VCA PAPT). Heart worm pill for 12$ ( was free by VCA PAPT) and the Doc recommended house training techniques and tips on how to stop my pup from nibbling on people. He was very helpful and advised me to get a new collar for my pup since the one i have isn't good. Overall, the service was great, the place was clean, and it's right around the neighborhood. Definitely coming back again. VCA PAPT bill came out to be - 108$ with a rabies shot JAH bill came out to be - 18$ with a heartworm pill and a new collar.

Then they implemented their app so you can only book appointments through it or call in. They mixed my dog up with another dog and gave him the wrong medications and made him sick for a couple of days once. I think it's time to find another vet. The employees are super nice and the facilities are clean but the changes and mistakes and arrogance of denying my pet his medication is inexcusable.

Unfortunately something went very wrong on the second visit with my pitbull. I discussed my older cat (who was not there) with the vet because he was suffering from fleas and the current meds weren't working. He suggested a pill for the cat and I said I would buy one single pill to try. I got the pill upon checking my dog out and I guess there was confusion at that point because I ended up with flea meds for a large dog instead of a cat. No verification was made by the receptionist as to which pet this pill was for and it was also not printed on the package. Nornally they put a sticker on a medicine bottle for example. I didn't realize the pill was for a dog until the day after I gave it to my cat and he was acting very sick. He had strong twitches and an episode of hyper activity and/or seizure. I took him to the emergency hospital where he was treated for poisoning. Luckily he got better a few days later and the twitching subzided. I called Dr Gray the day my cat was admitted to the hospital (November 17) to let him know what happened and we spoke again the following day. He recalled the conversation about the cat but didn't seem to know how this happened. I told him I would like to be reimbursed for the bill and he said he would need to talk to his boss. A week later I sent Ellenwood animal hospital a letter asking for reimbursement with a copy of the emergency hospital bill but I have not received a response yet. I am considering contacting the board of vets and also filing in small claims court. I was really hoping to avoid all this so I hope they contact me to resolve this. If you do visit this vet please double check all medication and verify who it is for and make sure the pet's name is printed on the meds. Be prepared that they may not take accountability for mistakes they make.

I have had wonderful experiences with FAH doctors, techs, and receptionists. Unfortunately, my most…read morerecent experience with Dr. Sherri Ray - the owner, did not meet those expectations. -BACKGROUND- I have three dogs in my home that are all losing weight despite eating nearly triple the caloric intake for their weight, and drinking triple the amount that is necessary for their daily intake. I moved into a new place (an hour from my previous home) in February of last year, and have not changed anything with their routine. Their weight loss began about 2 months after my move. -THE INCIDENT- I have one dog that has had weight issues for her entire life. Instead of reviewing this dog's records that indicates a history of chronic wasting and a B12 deficiency, she jumped to the conclusion that I neglect my dog. After telling me that "these dogs need to be fed more", "this is borderline abuse", and "these dogs look like rescue dogs" - she rolled her eyes at me as I stumbled to give her a response due to the utter and complete shock I was in realizing what I was being accused of. I told her that I don't appreciate being accused of neglecting my pets, especially as someone who was a Vet Assistant for 8 years - She huffed, and told me "Well, what else could it be? You tell me!" - Most clients bring their pets to the vet for the DOCTOR to diagnose what could be wrong with their pets. -TLDR- Dr. Ray treats patients very "textbook" - if they don't fit the exact symptoms and criteria for a potential diagnosis, it's entirely out of the question. She did not offer to rerun a GI Panel on my dog, or run those levels on my dogs never checked. Bloodwork has only ever been run on ONE of my dogs in the year that I've been a client at FAH. She would rather berate you and leave you further questioning than create a working treatment plan for your pet. She also "whispers" behind closed doors to her techs and doctors about you! I have been very transparent with her about my financial situation, but am also willing to do whatever is needed for my pets - I have spent tens of thousands on their care throughout their lives. I won't dive in to the time they boarded for 3 days, and were covered in their own urine and feces at pick up - just like other 1 star reviews, that I unfortunately ignored. While she wants to believe my pets are neglected, they are going to be laughing at her - All while sitting on their personal goose feather couch, with heating pads, in their pajamas. I have tried to be patient and give the benefit of the doubt here, but I will collect my records and take my pets elsewhere after this.

The plans are meant to save you some money on medications, routine checkups and some major procedures. After joining the new plan, I noticed an additional charge for the previous plan. When I called them, they advised I was told incorrectly and still had one payment left on the prior plan. There was no attempt to take responsibility or make it right. A $59 charge lost them the new plan, future boarding, and a long-term customer. This completely changed my experience with this vet, and I advised them I wanted to cancel the new plan since I was still being charged for the old one. They charged me an additional $300 to cancel the new plan I had been on for two days. This vet is only about money. Whatever you do, don't fall for the monthly payment plans they offer. The "savings" are not worth it (and really don't save you at all since you still pay for medications) and they will do everything they can to squeeze as much out of you as possible.

I brought him inside and waited 10 minutes, but then I noticed he was panting strangely. I picked him up and rushed him (safely) through school-release traffic, arriving at the vet in 8 minutes since they are very close to me. When I arrived, I rushed inside and told them my dog was having serious issues. There were four people inside: the regular veterinarian who prescribes my dog's medication and three front desk staff. There were also no other pets in the clinic at the time. Without hesitation, one of the front desk ladies handed me a card and told me I needed to take him to the emergency vet. I went to my car but then thought about it and went back inside to ask if anyone could look at my dog because he looked like he was dying (my exact words), and the emergency vet was 30 minutes away. Without hesitation, she said they couldn't do anything and sent me on my way as the rest of the staff walked to the back. Frantically, I drove 20 minutes to the emergency vet, using my hazard lights and periodically patting my dog, looking into his eyes, and telling him he would be okay. Sadly, when I arrived at the ER, they pronounced him dead due to a blood clot caused by the heat. They also agreed that Allied should have at least checked my dog to see if there was anything they could do. It's a heartbreaking day, and I would never recommend this place. Their medication is overpriced, and they do the bare minimum.
