I have an old Live Oak and Mesquite that had a lot of dead and dying branches. In just a few hours, Anthony and crew had the trees trimmed and beautiful. They left my yard, patio and driveway completely clean. The patio and driveway were not their responsibility, but they did it any way. YAY! They even let me add some branches that had fallen recently. Then they fertilized. I found Anthony and his crew to be very nice and polite and respectful of my property. anthony and his workers are not to be trusted. i took them on for a pretty big removal dropped 2 100lb logs on my roof went straight thru my attic climber offered to pay for it (Jason)... said his boss would fire him if he found out so I took his word for it now I can't get in contact with anyone Anthonys phone goes straight to voicemail i should've known there was red flags when the boss dropped a bag of coke right in front of my eyes. y'all will be hearing from my lawyer soon you and your coke head crew...!! read more

Fast, efficient and did an excellent job removing a tree for us.

The service was prompt and professional at a fair rate. We needed to have several tall palm trees trimmed and the branches hauled off. They used a large bucket truck with one crew in the bucket removing branches with a chainsaw. They did OK at sending the branches away from fragile bushes and plants below. We had some damage to the plants below, but that is to be expected. They had a crew of 5 people, so the clean up was fast. They used a shredder to chop up the branches and hauled them off in a truck. They are very busy, so we had to schedule the service in advance. They did show up on time. None of the crew or the owner wore masks, which is fine when they are outside working, but was a bit un-nerving when explaining which trees were to be trimmed. This is August 2020, in the height of the Covid pandemic. The owner does not negotiate on price and gets rather indignant if you try to negotiate. I was tempted to take my business elsewhere due to the rude customer service, but I bit my tongue and cut a check for the services. read more

I HIGHLY recommend Southern Tree Care (STC). I got several quotes from Angie's List to get my mother's Palm trees removed. I was actually referred to STC from Rick's Tree Service. Rick said Southern is THE BEST at removing Palm trees. Most definitely true!! It says a lot when the competition makes that kind of recommendation. I called Anthony Peraino, STC owner, to get an estimate. He said he could come by that same day to assess the job & give me a quote. I missed his visit by minutes, but he made a point to swing back by so I could meet him face to face and discuss the estimate. He was there in minutes! Very responsive. He was the only one who provided a copy of his liability insurance policy. He stressed the importance of having Workers Comp coverage, which STC does. STC was also the only company that would use a bucket truck for the removal. And he offered the best competitive price. Anthony and his crew were very prompt, professional and experts at what they do. I didn't even have to move my car from the driveway. They had complete control of where the palms fell as they cut them down. Amazing! Since it was bulky item pickup time, Anthony recommended they stack it for pick up instead of paying for STC to haul it away. How great is that? The owner helped me save money instead of make some extra $$ for himself! THAT is called Character! As I said at the beginning, I HIGHLY recommend Southern Tree Care. read more

Southern Tree Care just came out and removed my Mesquite tree from my front yard. They did an excellent job! They were very quick, efficient and I was extremely happy with their pricing. They even ask the neighbors if they would like some of the mesquite wood for firewood.!! I can't even see any Twigs left in my front yard.. great clean up! He is honest, hard working, conscientious and does the best tree trimming I have seen. If you want it done right with an excellent clean up afterward, then you need to use Southern Tree Service. The asterisk is because Anthony does such a great job every time, his service is in great demand and his schedule is oft times very full. I urge you to call him well in advance, but when you do, get him to write you in on a specific date and then drop him a text message to make sure that date is still good. Southern Tree care is the best tree service I have ever used in my 30 years of living in Corpus Christi! The owner and work crew were friendly, knowledgeable of tree diseases, professional and so very considerate of my trees and surrounding property . Great care was given to ensure my trees were pruned correctly and beautifully..... they look like works of art! Crew was so very friendly, worked so hard and made sure grounds were immaculate upon completion of job. I had 2 huge 30+ year old Live Oaks pruned and had to have one of my huge 30 yr. old Live Oaks cut down due to disease. Tree removal was done methodically with great care, knowledge, and care. Owner and crew were even nice enough to make a nice big pile of firewood for me. I have used Anthony several times before with good service but I recently called to ask them to come out and trim my trees again. I called twice about a month apart and was told he would get back with me but did not receive a call back. I called a third time and was put off again. They were $300 cheaper than the first company I called. They were very timely and professional. The owner gave me a quote and had the crews come out within 30 minutes of me making the first call. The removed a large dead tree and trimmed some others near power lines in less than an hour and cleaned up the fallen debris too. Very impressed! read more

Very unprofessional. Anthony is the man you will speak too and get estimates from. Anthony puts off a front and acts very nice, and says some lies about being in the business for over 20 years. He told us he could do it that week, 3 weeks later, he shows up, and packs back up with no explanation and rudely hangs up. He tells you a day, and doesn't show up or call. Once you call him back, he will tell you another day, and won't show up or call. After the fourth time, he shows up, and after 5 minutes packed up and left without even telling us why. We then whenever we called after he didn't return for 3 hours, and he said "I can't do the top of the tree anymore". When asked if we could know why, he didn't answer and rudely said "you'll have to find somebody else" and hung up on us. He is very unprofessional, and most likely uninsured. I rated "one" star, because it doesn't let you not put any stars. read more
