They are obviously well loved and cared for. They also take the hard luck cases that other shelters won't. They work hard with the feral cats to get them socialized and ready to go to a good home. The new regulations the state has come up with are going to be financially challenging to any shelter, and especially so for the smaller ones. Any donations to them would help, they are not as well known as the bigger shelters and get overlooked at funding time. Volunteers are always needed, and it's a great way to interact with and socialize with the cats.

Modern equipment in good shape, no loud music blaring, and a wellness staff member always there to answer questions and help out. You get three free wellness orientations to help you figure out a workout, and it's never that crowded. The pool is in good shape, and unlike most pools in the area, isn't just one shallow depth along the entire length (it runs from 3' to 9'). Open swim can be a little overwhelming with a lot of kids allowed to dive bomb from the sides; finding lanes can be challenging during peak times as its a popular place with serious swimmers. The women's locker room has a locked door that requires a code to enter. This safety feature is excellent! Needs improvement: The locker rooms are in need of a long-overdue upgrade. A private changing area would also be nice for those who don't want to be on display to the world. The building can be confusing at first, with different areas spread out over three floors. The front desk staff can be iffy. Better training on helpfulness and service would really enhance the facility.

You'd have thought this is the first thing they'll check and inform me of. I kept asking but they kept deflecting, so I thought they had space and were just going through the process to sign up. What you do get is aggravated because they Always miss your appointments with them. Then they say it's your fault, you had the wrong day or the wrong time even though you write it on your calendar and when that doesn't work for them anymore they tell you they had an emergency. I have never heard of so many people in one Business having so many emergencies that they cannot come to their appointments with you. Of course you never know what the "emergency" was.
