To make matters worse I noticed a weird grey discoloration on that tooth to which she said she could fix it by redrilling because she "used the wrong stuff to fill it". Little did I know that her way of fixing it would cause me to have a root canal because she irritated the pulp in my tooth to the point where I was in agonizing pain. Why she would think it would be a good idea to drill on my tooth a day after I got the filling I'll never know. Afterwards experience extreme pain I immediately went to another dentist who said I needed a root canal and crown. Now that I've paid thousands of dollars out pocket because my insurance has been maxed out, I can honestly say that you need to go someplace else!! Update: They also told me that I would need 10 fillings as soon as they found out I had good insurance. Beware of this scam of a place and I have filed a report with the BBB for them to investigate. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I went to another dentist that said my teeth were perfect.

Made an appointment to get my Father's teeth cleaned with American Family Dentist in Collierville,…read moreTenn. (My Dad is 93 years old) They gave him an appointment, with a cost of $79.00 as a new patient. (I assumed that was a discount for the cleaning). When I took him, they took x-rays and when that was done, they call my sister and myself back to show us what they saw. He had plaque buildup, and needed to use a special mouthwash for a short period of time, which I understood. But they informed us that it would take two visits to clean his teeth. supposedly, his plaque was that bad. I thought ok, it had been 3.5 years since his last cleaning. (That visit was with a different dentist, whom he had seen for years.) When they gave me the appointment date and times, they also gave me the price for the two cleanings. $1,288.00 was the cost! YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT!! $1,288.00. I would have to be crazy to pay that much for cleaning! I called his old dentist, they saw him the next morning, took x-ray and cleaned ALL HIS TEETH IN THAT ONE VISIT! COST: $215.00! If you are wise, avoid going to American Family Dentist in Collierville, Tennessee. I do not know what other American Family Clinics charge. but check before going!

When I first came to Utley Orthodontist for my consultation! He and his wife and a few others were…read moresooo nice ! And I really appreciate it because me being from LA coming to the south it's not much of good customer service out here ! Fast forward to me deciding to go with Dr. Utley I was satisfied with me first few appointments he was always super nice and full of life ! However recently I had to endure a very life changing event that I will not include in this review ! But the events led me to miss a lot of my appointments and I was unable to get in touch with the office to let them know what was going on and that I wouldn't make it ! Anyways I called recently to see if I can set up some type of payment arrangement and start back coming to my appointments now that I'm better , well originally I was told that I can pay 204 a month and I could set me up an appointment to come in and get back to usual treatment. Well I was unable to make it and I tried to call back and let them in the office know what and why I was unable to and to see if there was another arrangement we could set up ! Whoever I spoke with was VERY rude NO SYMPATHY OR ANYTHING WHAT SO EVER ! She told me I would be unable to get serviced until I pay 900 dollars flat out no I'm sorry u went through that I'm glad your okay nothing ! As a person who worked as a receptionist at multiple places THAT IS NOT THE WAY ! rude over the phone , so my tooth has been bothering me and don't get me wrong if that's how the rules are and I can't get serviced until I pay my balance that I'm pass due TOTALLY UNDERSTANDABLE! So I simply called to see if someone there can just LOOK at my tooth to see why it's in pain maybe a bracket was messed up or something so I sent a picture and I received a call back and was told to come up there so they can fix my wire ! So I said no problem I asked if they can just take off the rubber bands since they are popped instead of changing them just take them off since I can't be serviced until I pay my balance ! Well the lady told me no they cannot ! Because it's no doctor there ! However the doctor never put my rubber bands on or off they do that ! The dental assistants and if you're fixing my wire why can't u take off my rubber bands ! So I get to the dentist and the dental assistant by the name of MADISON , VERY RUDE AND NASTY , as I said my tooth was hurting bad to the touch so she was trying to pull the wire and I made a little noise because yes my tooth is sensitive which is normal for a person to be uncomfortable, so she backs away and says okay if I can't get the wire you're going to have to wait two weeks for Dr Utley . Just very rude like and I simply told her maam it's going to hurt I can't help the fact that it hurts but I never said you can't continue doing what you're doing ! I never told her wait or gave her any sign I didn't want her to fix the wire . And then on top of that she still put a rubber band on but left the popped ones on , if you couldn't do that because the doctor was gone why did u still do it ?? I love Dr Utley but I hate I had to have this experience with his fellow co workers
