Think of it as a school where all the big businesses in the area got together, told UNT what kind of things they'd love to see in graduating college kids, and then UNT made programs tailoring to that. Bam. You've got the Frisco campus. No, it's not just a business school, although a heavy focus of the curriculum is put on accounting, finance, things like writing press releases, fund raising, public relations, etc. All sorts of things are taught there that corporations have a huge desire to see more focus on. Another key thing about the Frisco location is that it is predominantly all night classes, so it's tailor made for those already in the work force, maybe those wanting to get a different degree or even further an existing degree. You can still come here and do some basics (I took chemistry and a psychology course here) but they are typically afternoon to evening courses. Lots of the commuter students at the main Denton campus like the Frisco campus because parking is free and PARKING IS FREE. Yeah. It's worth putting twice. Plus they are super freaking friendly here. They always great you with a smile when you walk in, they give you free swag all over the place and I swear...It's like they remember you paid them to go there or something. Amazing. They cater food in all the time for all students and you can rent a laptop, use a printer, get scantrons, all free. Instructors are fantastic. I hope they offer more daytime options for core classes. It's a great facility.

And now, as we look into a housing loan, they're saying there's no guarantee for freshman housing anyway... I'm totally shocked. Priority goes to international students, then out-of-state, then in-state, then even students from nearby counties... seriously? We rejected Baylor, SMu, Spelman, Howard, University of Houston, University of Oregon for this? This is a slap in the face. Why offer a full ride without housing and a meal plan?

They only offer any and…read moreeverything to day students as if they are trying to weed the night student out! they even given all of the weekend clinicals to days and left nights with weekday clinicals that clash with work. I don't know how they expect students that work eight hour shifts during the day to turn right around a couple of hours later and go to clinicals from 6 PM to 5 AM, only to have to turn right back around and go to work that same morning. I attended the Preston Ridge Campus, Spring Creek Campus, and lived at the on campus apartments…read morenamed Century Court across from Spring Creek several years ago and it was a complete nightmare. The pathetic instruction, lousy customer service, and micro-aggressions left a very bad mark on me. The classes are inexpensive but I was not impressed by the instructors' imperious and abrasive attitudes and their unfairly strict grading systems. Music Appreciation, Biology, English, Intro to Psychology, Philosophy, Economics, and other intro courses were pedantically taught like upper-level doctorate courses which was painfully grueling and unfair. Some of the questionable instructors couldn't even speak comprehensible English. Generally the lectures and homework assignments were irrelevant or unproductively tedious. The hypocrisy is outrageous. The personal and career counseling services were horrible and worthless as well. The personal and career counselors spoke in riddles, made up excuses for everything, had irritable mood swings, and confused me the entire time. What are they paid to do exactly? The Dean of Students Office was always very unhelpful and sanctimonious. The Spring Creek Campus in Plano, Texas is the worst. Malicious administrators are quick to call the police and prosecute students through the Collin County kangaroo court system for small pranks yet hypocritical counselors, instructors, and administrators freely antagonize students to create an atmosphere of frenzied humiliation. I feel that Collin College is an enormous leech on the tax payers of Collin County.
