In the lead up to the day, Shane and Ben were so patient in bearing with a couple of last-minute logistical changes of mind, and they ensured everything on the day went without a hitch. Everything was of the highest quality, a stunning selection of blooms, and looked incredible- we could not have imagined it better.

For five to six dollars you can get a bunch of basic seasonal blooms (think daffodils, carnations or gladiolas), which I use to brighten up my lounge room. The bouquets aren't really to my taste - they are fairly bog-standard, featuring bright ribbons and boxes. The reason I buy from Zek's regularly is partially convenience (I walk past on my way in and out of the supermarket), but it's also because of the lady who works here. She always gives me a smile and a hello, even if it's 7am and she's in the middle of unloading buckets of flowers in the pouring rain. Her good manners and cheery disposition deserve to be supported!

The ladies who work here are really in-the-know about everything flowers orientated. I jog past here everyday and when the occasion arose for birthday flowers i stopped by and was surprised by the range and the prices. The flowers are really fresh and vibrant, and the staff are wanting to serve you like there is no tomorrow. This is a great thing. Apart from Chinese New Year stands; I decided to buy a bamboo plant for my home space at this establishment. The plant is in a beautiful glass holder that symbolises prosperity and good luck in the home, and the plant still looks fresh despite me not watering it as frequently as I should. If you are someone who likes your weekly, fortnightly or monthly flower fix, and/or if indoor plants is more of your thing - then look no further; you have just hit the jackpot when it comes to quality floristry. A place that is appreciated and deserving of its location in Melbourne. The price of $25 for a smallish bamboo plant that has stood the test of time. It is worth it, and adds immense value to anyone's living space. It is a place that gives you that extra lift if your mood isn't so great. A great pick me up.

Their floral arrangement and succulents are so eye catching, I couldn't help but buy something the second I passed by. As a bit of a black thumb, I went home with a little cactus for a pot that I had just killed some herbs in. The only problem is that the guys serving seemed to have a lot of knowledge about what looks cool, and very little about actual plants or gardening. They seemed completely flummoxed when I asked for some advice about repotting and wanted to talk plants as a total novice. So I wouldn't send you here for any kind of serious (or even amateur!) garden needs, but their stuff sure is pretty and it's a perfect stop for lovely gifts. Very different and more upmarket compared to the other flower vendors inside the market.
