Be warned though, this place is immensely popular and weekend stays are already fully booked for the summer season of 2010. You can check for availability of glades on their website and you may get lucky and find a slot from a cancellation. The lady who runs the site lives in a caravan at the campsite, complete with chickens running about the place. She has a small shop with supplies including milk and firewood. There are also showers and proper toilets. If you don't feel like sleeping in a tent there are also a number of buses, Gypsy caravans and suchlike to hire for a more comfortable stay. The prices are reasonable and this is really a great way to camp, whilst still retaining the magic of the experience. A real gem and unique approach to a great British pastime. I cannot recommend this place enough!
