The 'office' is built in the end of a small strip of shops which is not particularly nice. Arrived for my appt and Rocky did the dexa scan and then the second test i signed up for. From the lobby you move aside a large curtain to the room with the scanning machine, a lot of extra space, a couch and a large TV screen. 6-8 minutes for the scan and then was led into the back room, a small and very beat up space, for the second test. Which also went fine, and took only a few minutes. While I was resting for that test is when I noticed how gross the space was. It seems clear that whoever owns the location just run the operation there for a long time while investing zero in the upkeep or cleanliness. Was led back to the second room where I was given a presentation/ summary of my test results - all within clear earshot of another person waiting in the lobby. This is IMO a HIPAA violation but just seems plain wrong to do. I might try a dexa scan again one day as Im not sure I believe the results were accurate but 100% would not go back to this beat up place.

I am not sure if it was accurate or done incorrectly. I have been lifting weights and running my whole life, with the addition of distance running the last 6 years. I have trained for and run 6 half marathons and the boston marathon. My garmin has my VO2 max estimated at 49, and my max heart rate in my workouts and races gets into the 180s. The test said my VO2 max is 35 and my max heart rate is 151, and gave me heart rate zones with that being the max so its very low and not useful for me to do anything with. I was hoping to validate or get more accurate depictions if my heart rate zones vs what garmin estimates with my watch and garmin heart rate chest strap. The person who administered the test was friendly and great to meet with. **UPDATE** DexaFit offered to re-test me for free. I appreciate this gesture. The re-test put me at 52 which aligns with what I expected. Great customer service thank you!

I made the appointment over two weeks ago with the nurse/owner in charge off the program . She took my insurance info and scheduled my visit .Upon check in the front desk person said who are you ? I told her my name and that I was a new patient and today was my first visit . The girl at the front desk seemed frazzled and said we have another new patient in for this time but not you . I was shocked by both her demeanor and her lack of empathy . I had requested this Saturday off from work and decided to put my health first . I asked her what happened as that had all my info . I made a comment regarding the person who booked my appointment not being focused and she screamed that's my Mother your talking about . A kind woman stood up and told me that I could have her appointment but they then disclosed they did not have a rate yet from my insurance company . Another woman told the front desk person she was out of line as well. 'then out of the back room came two other girls dressed in scrubs. One of the girls apologized for the mix up and offered my another appointment that I could not attend . I told her she should be customer facing and she said that the girl at the desk was her sister and her Mother was the owner . I asked if I could speak to the Manager and they said it's our Mother so you can call her and gave me her card . The nicer of the two girls did offer me a 50 Percent discount on my welcome kit ! lol! An hour later the owner called me not to apologize for her daughters behavior but to tell me I made her daughter cry and leave work for the day . I told her that she needs to learn some customer service skills . And that I would not be rescheduling. She said she was going to call all the Medi Weightloss locations and tell them not to take me as a patient . Actually threatened me repeatedly . I go to IM as a supplement to my family physician as cookie cutter medicine did not have the answers I needed. My primary care physician was impressed with the testing that Dr. Petteruti performed and really impressed with the results. So much so that I only need to see her once a year.
