This is a gorgeous church!!!! I was visiting my friend in Spring Hill and she's been going to this church for years! The pastor and the band are absolutely amazing!!! I loved every second of it. The church has so much to offer. I didn't have time for my friend to give me the grand tour but she showed me the children's area of the church and the HUGE cafeteria church goers have breakfast before the service!!! I absolutely love it here.

Feels strange reviewing a church building but here is the deal on Grace Chapel Leiper's Fork: A non denominational affiliate of Calvary Chapel, the motto here is "equipping people to be passionate servants of Jesus Christ". Pastor Steve Berger and his wife Sarah live this out through personal and public example and it is a joy to be a part of this fellowship. Steve is a gifted speaker and teacher who's goal is to make Jesus known. The worship services are led by skilled, Spirit filled musicians who are focused on leading people to The Lord, not drawing attention to their various gifts. Jonathan Allen is a man who is "after the Lord's own heart", leading worship by being a worshiper. There are a myriad of ministries available from parking lot to greeter to prayer; something for everyone. There is a place for you to serve here. Child care from infants to High School is available and the staff provides exciting and engaging lessons for the next generation. Service times are on Sunday at 9 am and 11:11 am. There are also dozens of small group fellowships that meet throughout the week at various locations from Columbia to Nashville. Bottom line, GCLF is a place where Jesus is first, and where people love, accept, and invest in you.

(Proverbs 3:5-6) Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. - God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God. - Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords. - The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily. - The Bible is God's Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. GOD IS SOOOOOO GOOD!

Just come visit!!! The music is always inspiring. Dress code is casual and a comfortable place to be. It looks huge from the road, but you'll feel at home once inside. There is an awesome book store, fireplace included and coffee bar. Breakfast is served all morning on Sundays.

I also could not reconcile the racist nature of my elders with the teachings of Jesus. I go to this church with my daughter because I would do anything to spend time with her. I grew up in church and was in church if there was a door open. I lost my faith later and it isn't coming back, so this is more of a comparison to the church I grew up in and the loss of that community that came with the loss of my faith. I am not trying to convince you of my lack of faith and generally feel church is good for people. I will say that the primary reason I lost my faith is that I don't believe in things I can't touch. As best I can tell, a miracle is an unexpected outcome. A medical miracle means the doctor was wrong. **I am a doctor, we are wrong a lot and it's not a miracle. One of my greatest sadnesses in life is that I don't know how to give the sense of community to my daughter that I got in church. loved going to church when I was growing up because I felt a sense of belonging. I loved Sunday school and was very involved. I don't feel community. I have been going to this service for the last 6 months and I don't even know if they have Sunday school. Everyone seems friendly. Don't care much for pastor Darren, preaches intolerance with his acceptance.... I am sure that there is community in the small groups that they offer, but it's not like I will ever go.... I really just want community for my daughter. Was pretty disappointed in the Christmas service. Pastor Darren said he had the most convincing argument ever for the proof of Jesus. I guess I don't really expect anyone to bring me back into the fold, but I had hoped something more than "miracles are real, everyone else believes, so should you"

To them Jesus is simply an example not the atoning substitutionary sin sacrifice that paid our sin debt in full so that we can have a true relationship with God and the only way to salvation. That's what the gospel is and what the Bible says. They don't believe in the work of the cross only as an EXAMPLE on how to live right. Very important you know about false teachings before you join a church it could literally cost you your salvation by getting the gospel wrong and denying the Holy Spirit. Paul said it clearly and how you can discern against false gospels. Even after he would be at a church soon after false teachers would come in. Jesus warned us 3 times about false prophets and teachers. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 New International Version 2 And so it was with me, brothers and sisters. When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. 2 For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. 3 I came to you in weakness with great fear and trembling. 4 My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God's power. Ephesians 2:8-9 New International Version 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. Galatians 1:4: The Lord Jesus Christ is the One "who gave Himself for our sins so that He might rescue us from this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father." He gave Himself for our sins; He paid the penalty and provided atonement.
