I literally went through the process of applying for Manpower and it took me hours to complete. I…read morewas told after I completed the application process that I had an old account and that I should use that account instead. I asked if I could use the new one since I already completed the process of applying. I was told I should use the older account. Ok, so I went along with this and went under the old account I had. I had to again complete the application, which took me awhile to complete but I was happy I was able to complete it. I was e-mailing Margarita who I thought was going to help me after I completed this process. I was happy what was next because I have been searching for a good job and I remember working with Margarita in the past and found work before. I always stay at my jobs for years and when I'm searching for one I expect to be able to find a good temp agency to help when I need it. So, I completed the process again and went along with everything I was told to do. I then get an e-mail from Margarita telling me that her manager said if they cannot verify my employment with Uber they will not be able to place me. And then proceeded to give me a list of other temp agencies to call. I looked for where I can prove to them that I worked for them. I e-mailed her back and said I was an independent contractor and Uber doesn't have W-2 forms and I'm my own boss when driving for Uber. I continued to search for prod that I actually worked as an independent driver for Uber. I did find within the Uber app a 1099 form proving I worked as a driver and some other paperwork proving the same. I then e-mailed Margarita and attached the paperwork proving I worked as a driver. I waited for a response and I didn't get one back. So, I followed up again, no answer. I get a call from Margarita saying that they couldn't work with me. She said that I asked for too much starting pay and they only have lower paying jobs and that she sent me other temp agencies numbers and to go to them instead. I didn't know what to say, I was shocked to say the least. After all of the hard work I put into applying for Manpower they do this to me. Very unprofessional to have me go through the process of applying then having to apply again the same process and have me spend time on that and then when I complete the process tell me to go to other temp agencies because they needed proof worked as a driver for Uber... (that was fine that I needed to find this information) but then when I found the proof and sent them the proof that I indeed have been driving for Uber as an independent contractor, they then turn around and make an excuse that they can't help me because I asked for too much starting pay??? Which is it, is it because they wanted proof that I worked as a driver or is it that I asked for too much starting pay? And as I'm looking for jobs on another site. What do I see? I see Manpower put out a job listing for the same amount of money I was asking for in the same field I'm looking at for a job. It looks like they do have jobs at that starting pay I was asking for. So, no excuse for not helping me look for jobs when these jobs pop up. Very bad experience for me and do not recommend them at all. Do not waste your time with them. Very unhelpful, unprofessional and just a waste of time (time I could have used productively) instead I was pushed around, given the runaround and in the end left with no job.
