I normally wear a size 10.5, but the $40 pair were a size 10, so I figured I could still wear them. When they arrived, I noticed the box said "Size 9". I opened the box and checked one shoe, and it was a size 10 shoe. I didn't want to wear them yet, because my other pair was still good. So away the shoes went into a closet for over 2 months. The day finally came that I decided to wear the shoes on a trip out of town. This is when I noticed the other shoe was in fact a size 9 shoe. It was well past the time the time they allow returns, but figured I'd email. The response was immediate! Todd found the other missing size 10 back at the store. They swiftly shipped it out to me free of charge. I asked how I could get the size 9 back to them so they could at least sell that pair. They weren't worried about it and said to keep it. I'll probably end up buying a display case for it because I like the shoe so much. MRE even threw a bunch of cool stickers into the box for me. Thanks for everything again. Solid service!

The problems started literally seconds before the bride walked down the aisle when the venue manager stopped her to warn that the wedding would be shut down if any more alcohol was found. The alcohol in question was a sealed bottle discovered inside a backpack after venue staff/security conducted what many guests felt was an unnecessary and inappropriate search. Regardless of venue rules, confronting an emotional bride at that exact moment was unbelievably unprofessional and immediately created tension. After the ceremony, everyone complied with instructions and removed anything questionable. Despite that, venue staff and security continued searching vehicles and going through personal belongings in both suites without guests' knowledge or consent. The bride and groom were later pulled away from their reception because security claimed they overheard guests talking about alcohol in a trunk. The entire situation ultimately turned out to be about guests grabbing Black Cherry High Noons for the bar while someone changed shoes in their car. Guests were repeatedly harassed throughout the evening. One grandmother was followed to her car by security while buckling in her grandkids. Another guest was stopped from re-entering unless his vehicle was searched because of an energy drink. To make matters worse, staff began pushing cleanup over an hour before the contracted end time despite a cleaning fee already being paid, leaving family and guests cleaning tables and trash themselves. The entire night the venue staff felt hostile, discomforting, and wildly unprofessional. Rules are one thing, but repeatedly disrupting the reception, searching personal belongings, harassing guests, and creating this level of tension was completely unacceptable. I would never recommend this venue after what I witnessed.

The Yale Theater - Invitation Inspiration

The staff was exceptional from start to finish--attentive, accommodating, professional, and genuinely invested in making our event a success. The audiovisual support was excellent, the bar setup worked beautifully, and the complimentary water and coffee service was a welcome touch. The restrooms were clean, well-maintained, and more than sufficient for our guests. The upstairs lounge also provided a wonderful space for attendees to step away from the main event, relax, and connect. But what truly sets the Yale apart is the venue itself. The gorgeous, thoughtfully restored historic architecture gives the space a character and sense of place that generic event venues simply cannot replicate. For those of us who believe the setting should be part of the experience--not merely a backdrop--the Yale is something special. Perhaps its greatest asset is its size. Finding a beautiful, functional venue for 100-150 people is surprisingly difficult. Many spaces are either too cramped or so large that a medium-sized gathering feels lost. The Yale strikes that elusive balance perfectly, offering ample room to move, mingle, and enjoy the event while maintaining a comfortable, intimate atmosphere. Add in the vibrant surrounding neighborhood and abundant free parking, and it's an exceptional package. We couldn't have been happier with our experience and would enthusiastically recommend the Yale Theater to anyone planning a conference, reception, or special event. It's a genuine Oklahoma City treasure!
