    I wouldn't even try living here if I were you. They defend sexual harassers, lie to creditors when…read moreyou move out about notices and damages. They do nothing about people doing drugs in the apartments even if it is directly affecting you, and you'll end up with a collections fee from them screwing you with PWC trying to claim you somehow used 1000 gallons of water in a month which isn't even possible for an apartment. Go somewhere else and if you're military, try and get on post. They'll blame you for damages made before you were there, and you'll pay for it.

They stated verbally and via email by ARLENE that my application fee would be either debited back or returned via check in the mail in 4-6 weeks. It is now JULY 1st. I have called the office MANY times, I have correspondence with Arlene many times as well. No one has returned my calls and now no one is responding to my emails. I have started leaving reviews and will continue until my money as promised is returned. This is BY FAR the worse apartment complex I've ever dealt with. DO NOT MOVE HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You don't have 600-700 units, as you have just enough units to keep the traffic down and even when people are having guests it's not that big of a problem. Storage: There are garages on the property, along with storage closets that make storing your personal belongings easy and to be honest with you, it's quite affordable as well due to the fact that you're going to pay the same price as you would out in town. Maintenance: The maintenance crew here is awesome. They do their due diligence every morning and are seen on the property constantly walking around and ensuring things are working properly & the property is well kept. I've never had to go less than 24 hours after I reported a work issue before I had a knock at my door or contact from the front office via phone or email. Pets: For the most part, the pet owners on the property are responsible. They pick up after their pets, and most of the pets that I have are friendly regardless of size. The ladies in the front office are amazing. I can only speak from personal experience and say that they have worked with me time and time again and during difficult times were very understanding of my situation. I can't say good things enough about this property, and the management that runs it here on the property. Definitely give it a look for yourself, again when you live in an apartment complex you can't keep everybody happy all the time. But I for one can say the majority my time here has been well spent and I enjoy living here.

    We have lived at Crown since Mid- May of 2020 when we moved from a 2-bedroom apartment at Church…read moreStreet Complex where we had lived for 2 1/2 years so as to get a 3-bedroom ground-floor Apartment. Crown Management had taken over managing Church Street Apartments in February 2020 so it made the move smoother. The Crown complex feels secure with good lighting and with neighbors watching out for one another. Parking is good and close to apartment walk ways. Response to maintenance emergencies is swift, such as on a weekend night having a water hose under bathroom sink let go above the valve where one could normally shut water off. Another time about at 11 pm our laundry room had water leaking through ceiling from apartment above. Both times the maintenance person on call arrived within 20 minutes to secure a clamp to keep bathroom sink from leaking from water line so main water cut-off valve could be kept on so other faucets could remain on. Maintenance staff determined the issue in upstairs apartment leaking water to our laundry room was from washer hose slipping out of drain pipe. Maintenance brought shop vacuum to clean up the floor in second floor and also the water in our wash room. Other non emergent maintenance problems have been responded to within a day usually. The property is kept clean and neat (including pool) and walk ways by onsite staff on a daily basis. Additionally, the grass and shrubs are kept trim by contractors every couple of weeks in late spring to summer and about once a month in late fall through winter and early spring. Tiffany and Alyssa in the office are always friendly, caring, professional, & helpful. During the last 2 years during COVID-19 time period they went out of their way to be responsive to needs in the office, online or by telephone. The office staff accept over-size packages from delivery service at office and keep such packages secured there until resident can get to the office to receive them thus saving trips to post office to pick them up. The office helps residents to get automatic rent payments set from residents' bank accounts to rental company's bank to ensure safe and on time rent payments so as not to have to write checks or getting them delivered to office on time. All the staff know the renters well and usually by name. All staff have interacted with us responsively and treated us with courtesy and respect.

    Horrible experience nightmare since day 1..i was only here 1 year and it felt like an eternity in…read morehell..the girl in the office sends an email detailing what i needed to bring for move in so i purchase a money order down to the penny. First of all, on my move in day about 45 minutes after they were "open" in the office i pull up for my key and they have a "be back at ___" sign on the door. At this point I'm fuming with a car full of my things and a 20 minute drive from my old apartments. So I'm calling the office phone, no answer, so i call corporate and finally someone reluctantly comes to the door stating they were "having a meeting". I bring in my money order and the same girl who emailed my move in email tells me I'm $7 short..um excuse me??? So i tell her, no, this is the exact amount you emailed me. She scrambles through her computer and can't find the email she sent me so i have to pull it up and shove my phone in her face. I still had to go get an additional money order before she gave me my key. Fast forward to about 1 month in. I'm noticing ice cream that i put in my freezer is softer than it was when i purchased it days ago, aside from that the ice maker didn't work but i didn't really care about that. My food is melting! I call the office and maintenance comes out and proceeds to put ice in the back of the fridge to cool some element.. yea didn't work so lm continuing to loose food..they send another maintenance man out who does something to the back of the fridge that doesn't work and finally after I've had enough and sacrificed enough of my groceries i pull up to the office to complain and demand they order a new fridge. She acted like it killed her but the manager gave me a visa gift card to replace some of my food and finally ordered a new fridge after a month of throwing away sweaty food. The next incident is about the online payment system..a month after moving in i check my online account to pay my rent and it's saying i have a credit amount that's about $15 short of my rent so automatically I'm thinking the incompetent woman that moved me in must have overcharged me so i pay $15 to make my credit the same amount as my rent for the next months bill. I continue to follow what the payment system says for a few months until it says I'm a whole month behind now I'm confused..i have been screen shotting this entire time so i take these screenshots to the office to speak to the manager. She confirms my account is past due by a months rent and proceeds to tell me when i moved in somebody should have told me "not to trust the online system because it's off most of the time" again, excuse me? How are y'all using a system that is inaccurate and okay with it?! So i tell her I'm not paying it all at once they will have to let me pay it over time and she agrees. Only 4 months later i realize I'm being charged a late fee EVERY MONTH so ...yea bs Alright moving on...so my air condition went out, doorknob fell off and hot water cut out, 3 times before it was fixed. There is TRASH everywhere! Now that I'm moved out they send me a deposit refund check i cannot cash anywhere and my bank won't deposit it! Wtf I'm calling them when they open but i really hope and pray this is my LAST time dealing with them even after moving out they still are finding ways to get under my skin THE ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER RENTED NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE.

That being said, Village Gate is the best apartment that I have ever rented from. We were there for only three months this summer, in the middle of renovations, but the staff handled it wonderfully. Because the pool was closed, they put up a portable one largely because they saw how disappointed that it was closed. We were just a couple doors down from the office and the staff was always friendly and helpful for my family. We had a couple of maintenance problems, but the staff responded promptly every time, and actually apologized for the problems that we were having. All in all, it was a great experience. Especially when the renovations are done, I think it will be a great place to live. The gated community aspect is nice, and the courtyard with trees and volleyball court was great for the kids. Loved it all, and was sorry to leave. I have not yet gotten the deposit statement, but if that makes any difference, I will post it.

They have still yet came to replace it!!!! my mom stays in her apartment all day long, by herself!!!! I can't bellieve how selfish and sad people can be!!! if it was their house I bet the ac would be fixed ASAP SMFH.....!!!!!

    Come join us! Pay rent to live inside one tenant's ashtray and experience second-hand Cancer first…read morehand. Living in close vicinity to one smoker now who smokes constantly outside. Smokes outside while she uses her cell phone as in her living room. Unlike the previous tenant who died naturally, this one is determined with management's approval to have us all get Cancer. One single woman smoking outside as if paying rent outside instead of in her apartment. Constantly! Leaving unsightly used packs worth of butts She smokes like a health-hazard chimney. Also, she lied and says she empties the container for cigarette butts regularly and since the complaining person is someone who has lived longer than a couple months, complaining and expecting a remedy has become futile. Lived in Affordable Housing, one step above public housing and not only run better by management, they did not submit others to have to endure one tenant who has apparently taken over in a short time of living in the same place others have lived longer. btw: this is this week's butts she says she empties often,end of the week and no emptying yet.

They stated the cameras at the drop box also do not work to verify I dropped the money order in the box. This apartment complex is one of the worst I've seen with management often not in the office when they are scheduled to be or taking longer than normal lunch breaks spanning out half a day. The money order being lost on their part is my biggest problem especially for people who do not have the extra months rent at the time and needing to wait 30 days for a canceled money order to go through. I don't recommend these apartments!!
