Cuts on his stomach. Others on his ears and legs
Maggie V.

I am so disappointed with this clinic. Not only did I waste a fortune but my poor dog suffered in the process. I got a call this week on Tuesday from the secretary saying that it was time for my dogs "6 month vaccines". I was surprised as I have NEVER heard of animals needing shots 2 times a year. She reassured me that certain ones were necessary twice a year. I was hesitant but agreed anyway because my dog needed a haircut and teeth cleaning. She told me I could take the dog tomorrow, Wednesday, and do it all. So I took my dog and cat yesterday, Wednesday, 9/21/2016 for their grooming appointments. When I arrive I was told by a different person from the one on the phone that the groomer does not work on Wednesday. She left the room, came back, and said they would do it anyway. I was weary that it wouldn't be done by the groomer but I thought it wouldn't be so hard to cut the hair of a dog and cat while sedated.... I have done it while they were awake. I hand them to the girl but not before I'm told I have to pay in full up front. They recommended the pet insurance for both animals. Then I was given a bill of $785! And that was "with a discount"! It was supposed to be about $1572!! You can go to the humane society and get vaccines for less than $100. I don't know what I was charged $785 for. Money down the drain. They took advantage. Dog: Cat: - grooming. -shots - teeth cleaning with sedation. -grooming with sedation - 6 month shots (who has heard of this??) This isn't even the worse part. I would do anything for my pets, they are like children. The lady explained the total included cost of blood work, disposal fee, etc. So i sucked it up and went through with it. HERE IS THE IMPORTANT PART: What made me so upset that I decided to write this post was looking at my dog once we got home. I went to pet him and he turned on his back and that's when I saw his skin all BURNED and CUT UP from the razor! I can only imagine the trauma he went through for him to have gotten cut and for the technician to have kept going and continuing to cut each time. He has cuts all over his belly, a really bad one behind his ear, several under his legs... I want to cry thinking about what he went through! He won't let me touch the cuts and cries if I try. I can not believe they cut his hair with out a licensed groomer. It was probably some new kid who had no idea what he/she was doing! I too am to blame for letting them! I trusted them with my babies. I feel robbed and like my animals were NOT taken care of properly. It is not okay to do this to people and animals. We work too hard for such outrageous prices. And my animals are such sweethearts to have been treated so badly. I am in such shock. Look at the pictures for yourself. I put up 5

I do not recommend this place at all. They present themselves as a "veterinary hospital," yet they…read moredon't even have basic tools like an ultrasound, which is essential for diagnosing internal issues such as obstructions. I brought my 15-month-old puppy in a critical condition. She had been vomiting for days, not eating, and not having bowel movements--clear warning signs of a possible obstruction. On the first day, I spent hours waiting without receiving the urgent care she needed. On the second day, she was sent home with only an X-ray and no clear diagnosis. Then I had to wait another day and a half for an ultrasound. A day and a half lost when every minute mattered. So I have to ask: if an ultrasound was necessary to detect a foreign body, why did it take so long? Why was I not immediately referred to another facility that had the proper equipment? Why wasn't this handled on the first day given her symptoms? And if an obstruction was suspected, why was surgery delayed from Saturday morning until Tuesday? During all of this, I also explained that I was in a difficult financial situation and asked if I could pay in installments. This was flatly denied, and no alternatives were offered. Instead, I was asked, "What do you want to do?" Of course I wanted to save my dog. In the end, they performed surgery... and my dog died. After everything, I was offered a discount on the surgery. But by that point, it felt meaningless--nothing was done in time to give my dog a real chance. The pain is indescribable, but even more devastating is the feeling that there were delays, lack of resources, and a lack of urgency and guidance when it mattered most. The only time the veterinarian was truly kind was after the surgery--when I came to see my dog already gone. A place that calls itself a "hospital" should be prepared, act immediately, and guide pet owners through emergencies--not leave them with unanswered questions and lost time. I hope no one else has to go through something like this.

Open biohazard container present, dangerous. Open trash can without lid present, also dangerous. Glade lavender plug-in on, often harmful, especially for cats. No one washed their hands in front of me, but this does not necessarily mean that they are not doing it when they should, as there are several other rooms in the facility and I did not have two pets with me. Attitude towards humans: 8/10 - Overall, personally, I got very good service. I was not greeted upon arrival or for several minutes, despite no other person being in front of them. They answered all my questions, and were attentive. I observed a significantly different attitude towards another woman, but I am not aware of the entire conversation, so there is no telling why there was a different attitude, and perhaps there was a reason. I had a very appropriate and warm goodbye from every single staff member. Attitude towards pets: 8/10 - once again, personally, my baby received amazing treatment. Overall used caring hands, petting, and a nice tone. I overheard a different situation towards another pet who was in distress. The staff member did not use a calming voice or reassuring tone towards the very clearly desperate dog. However, I was not present in the room, and therefore cannot speak to the level of distress the staff member herself might have been experiencing, or the handling of the animal.

Recently, one of my pups was experiencing bloody diarrhea and vomiting. Despite being fully booked, they were kind enough to squeeze me in. After receiving an IV injection and being prescribed two medications along with a food additive, my dog showed immediate improvement. What I truly appreciate is that they don't try to upsell or recommend unnecessary treatments--they genuinely care about your pet's well-being. I highly recommend this place. A big thank you to the doctor for her expert care and for prescribing only what was truly needed. Thank you, you guys are the best.
