This is just a block off from the main drag but just across from the train station. It makes for a tranquil less-touristy lunch option. When I went recently there was only one thing on the menu - a wild boar stew. I paired it with a delicious local wine and finished off with a generous Chocolate Mousse with Raspberries on top. For a simple straightforward local meal, I would heartily recommend this place. Of course, check out the Plat du Jours from the surrounding establishments to make sure you have the place and dish you want.

First, the service, waitstaff and maître' d' were all extremely friendly and attentive, both with serving as well as adjusting for accommodations. The food, specifically the seafood options were the highlight of the meal. We all agreed that the monkfish and scallops, sourced fresh that day from Northern France, were cooked and presented excellently. The steaks my friends had weren't the best I've ever tried, but that may have been from sitting out (partially our fault) for too long. Overall, the menu is a bit pricey, but considering that service charges and taxes are included within the place, this is on par for the type of restaurant La Cordée presents itself as. A great spot if you're looking for a more fine dining experience after your aprés ski while at Verbier!
