The food here was delicious. I love the bowls of soup the veggies came in. The pigeon appetizer was delicious. The chicken was mouth watering. The Moroccan wine was very tasty and very reasonably priced. No complaints at all for our fine dining experience.

For those English speakers, I'll translate the dishes we ordered for you, as we spent half our time trying to decipher what these dishes were with Google Translate :) Appetizers: - Noix de saint-jacques, gambas, chorizo, morille en cassolette - This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. It was pieces of shrimp and chorizo, and apparently scallops (but I didn't see any in the dish), in a cheese-fondue sauce. I'm not sure exactly it was all cooked in, but imagine a runnier fondue or a thickened chowder, with seafood inside. I loved this, and loved dipping the bread into it. - Foie Gras de canard cuit à basse température aux figues et pain d'épices - I thought I would be getting warmed or seared foie gras, but this was more like a pâté, with figs in the middle, and served with 2 small slices of gingerbread. It was fine, and tasted pretty good when you paired it with the figs, but cold pâté doesn't really do too much for me. Entrees: - Pavé de rumsteack, asperges des Landes, pomme purée à l'huile de truffe - This was a miss for both of us. The steak was overcooked, burnt and pretty dry, and sometimes felt like I was eating beef jerky. I liked the potatoes with truffle oil, but wasn't a fan of this steak. - Daurade Royale cuit au Four, fondue de poireaux et fenouil - This is an entire white fish that is cooked in the oven, served with a leek (I think) and fennel sauce - it was good, and the bones were large enough that the fish was fairly easy to debone. But if you're expecting to get a fillet of fish and don't want to deal wth getting an entire fish, then you may want to get something else. Desserts: - Pain Perdu Brioché à l'Ananas Frais - We both got this dessert, which is almost like a brioche french toast, but a little more dry and no sauce. I don't know why I thought this was bread pudding - it was not. It came with pineapples and was tasty, and not terribly sweet. I prefer chocolate desserts better, but that's just my preference. Overall, it was a fine meal - I liked the shrimp & chorizo appetizer and the fish the best. The other things were just okay for me.

The meat is flavorful and perfectly seasoned, the sauces are bold and balanced, and the whole thing comes together into a gloriously messy meal. It's casual, fast, and totally satisfying. Sure, it's not gourmet, and it's not trying to be. But if you want something reliably tasty, filling, and crave-worthy, this place delivers every time.

I love that the kebab places in Toulouse prepare the bread from scratch, and on the several occasions I visited the kebab was always freshly cut, then grilled on the grill, and served. The fries were also made fresh. Overall a great place for filling cheap food. It gets busy on a weekend night, but these guys keep the orders flying out the door! Top place.
