I participated in the Ideal Protein weight loss program at Wellness Choice with Dr. Nona Djavid. I found weight loss to be relatively easy and quick. Lost 6 or 7 lbs. The first week and something like 40 pounds in 9 months (less weight loss when I transitioned to more regular meals). The weight loss was substantial. I checked in and was weighed/measured each week and staff would ask questions/answer my questions. Katie Murray has to be the most positive and encouraging person in the world (a ray of Sunshine truly). I maintained the weight loss for several years. Then I had a health scare resulting in double bypass surgery. I told the doctor I was surprised because I had lost weight, changed my diet and was making healthy choices. He said that I probably survived because of it. I believe that Dr. Nona saved my life. I'm at the same healthy weight and I am leading an active life years later. If I can do it, anyone can. My wife and I started with Jay at Soul Scale about 4 months ago. So on my last review I had thus lost 22 Pounds and was shooting for 10 more, putting me at 210 pounds. Well that was not enough for them! They pushed me to make a choice of 210 LBS being the most I ever weigh in at again if that is my goal...and told me I should try to go for 10 LBS less than my goal. I don't know where I would be in my fitness journey if it weren't for SoulScale! I have struggled with my weight since I was 9 years old. I started to pack on pounds at a very young age and reached the heaviest I had ever been by the time I was 13 weighing 168 lbs.
