We recently moved to Houston and our home needed some landscaping…read more Since we were new to the area, I didn't know of any good landscaping company for the work we wanted to be done to our backyard. When we bought our home, our backyard was just dirt. I contacted Chris and right from the bat, he was very responsive and answered all my questions. Chris sent out his concrete guy (Fernando) to inspect our place so that Chris can provide us with a quote. Upon our agreement, Fernando started on the concrete. I have say Fernando was very diligent and detailed with his work. The project took a week or so to complete given the weather/rain we had. Overall the project came out very nice and we're pleased. We highly recommend Chris for landscaping and will definitely continue to work with him for future projects.

They had been providing the same service (weed eating along the fence line) without issue for over two years, but recently stopped performing part of the service without any notice or explanation. When I reached out to ask why, I was told it was no longer included and would now cost extra. No prior communication, no heads-up--just a sudden change. Their response was that it was being done as a "courtesy." Apparently this was a 2 year courtesy. On top of that, they've started adding random fees for things that are considered standard with most lawn companies--like weed eating along the fence line. It feels like they're nickel-and-diming customers rather than maintaining the quality and consistency of service. When I expressed concern, my feedback was dismissed rather than addressed. It felt like the blame was placed on me for expecting what had always been done before. Sadly, this shows a lack of accountability and poor customer service. I can't recommend a company that doesn't communicate changes clearly or show loyalty to long-term customers. If you're looking for reliable and transparent service, I'd suggest looking elsewhere.

With previous lawn maintenance companies, I have had nothing but poor quality, poor customer service, & often no shows. I don't like having to contact a company I already pay for scheduled biweekly lawn maintenance to come do their job, or contact them about fixing missed areas. GDL responded in a timely manner, with quotes based on lawn sizes & services. The pricing is more than fair among all services. The gentleman from GDL showed professionalism through communication, arriving early to the job site, and executing the job thoroughly. I contacted GDL for a quote and less than 24 hrs later they were at my house mowing & edging. I am happy with my experience with GDL, and I recommend them if you need a lawn care professional with quality & timely service.

What we love most about working with them is the value they add. We may start with an idea, but they always bring suggestions that make the final result even better than we could have imagined. They treat every project as if it were their most special project, with great attention to detail, professionalism, and care. Our pool project was no exception. We originally weren't planning to do the patio extension, but they showed us how much it would improve the space. Now, besides the pool itself, it is our favorite part of the backyard! They were also incredibly clean and professional throughout the entire project. After six years and multiple projects, we wouldn't trust anyone else with our outdoor spaces. We highly recommend Fernández Landscaping!
