If you know you need to have a tooth removed, and are feeling worried about it, I want to assure you that Dr. Mehrotra and his staff took excellent care of me! Dr. Mehrotra was so gentle and kind, and his soft-spoken manner put me at ease immediately. He administered the shots of anesthesia skillfully, and made sure I was 100% numb before he smoothly and quickly removed my fractured molar. His assistants were also calm and pleasant, and I felt safe in their experienced hands. The office is very well run with a great website that I used ahead of time to submit my new patient information. When I arrived, all my paperwork was in order and the insurance coordinator was clear on how much my insurance would cover and how much was my responsibility. I appreciated their organization and that there were no hidden fees. They are in-network for Delta Dental of NJ so the portion I had to pay was minimal. As a plus, the office building is beautiful, as is the interior design of the Oral Surgery Center. I liked looking out at the scenic hills of Warren as I sat in the dental chair.

After I had no pain and was totally fine. Second and third day I was swollen and had very little bruising (all which is expected), I had pain but was able to tolerate it (pain meds helped). I found the front desk efficient, the medical staff was very kind and caring and Dr Gordon was proficient, professional and thoughtful making sure I was doing okay from time to time. The lady who greeted me at the desk was extremely rude as she gave me an attitude about having my earrings in. I was never told to take them out prior to my appointment 2) While the SAME lady was trying to administer the IV to me, she failed to hit my vein. Instead of pulling the needle out, she continued to dig around for my vein. Of course, I immediately felt faint and the lady the lady then said "sorry, you have wiggly veins"... That's odd.... 3) When I wake up from the anesthesia, I am completely unaware of my surroundings (usual grogginess from the anesthesia). When I finally come-to, I told my boyfriend (who had been waiting the entire procedure in the waiting room) about the rude encounter I had. My boyfriend then told me that the entire time he was in the waiting room, he heard staff complaining about having to work on a Saturday (The appointment was on a Saturday). 4) When I wiped the blood off my face from the procedure, I noticed I was burned and had a cut on my lip. No one had told me that happened during the procedure. Instead, they rushed me out of the office and did not explain anything that happened during the procedure. 5) When I returned for my 2 week check up, I DIRECTLY SPOKE to the doctor who performed surgery on me. I showed him the photo of where he had burned me. All he had to say was "Wow that's odd.." and "I don't know what happened there"... Huh?? How is it that the DOCTOR THAT PERFORMED SURGERY ON ME doesn't recall that happening? 6) I told the doctor about the awful bruising I had when it came to the IV. All he had to say was "it happens". No. Intense bruising doesn't happen when employees KNOW where to place the needle. Absolutely HORRIBLE practice. They do not care about their patients, nor did they take any accountability of their actions. DO NOT GO HERE!!

During my cleaning and fluoride treatment, he was gentle--this was the first time I left a cleaning without soreness. Nurse hold my hand and say "just relax," which I think is very kind because I was trying to run away. Ten out of ten, would come again for "massage." My colon never feel so refreshed.
