ELLIE gave me a great haircut! Extremely pleased!!! She works (Wed-Sun). I highly recommend! I found my new barber!

My boyfriend has been coming here for years. Now I come here too for haircuts. Sook cuts my hair and usually my bf's hair too, but all of the ladies here have cut his hair through the years. This shop feels comfortable unlike a typical barber shop. I appreciate that as a woman. Pricing is also much better than at a salon. read more

The best barbershop in the area, hands down. Consistently good cuts, reasonable prices, a ton of barbers always working so very little wait times. read more

Sook is my favorite Barbar. Been loyal customer for 10 year. Her hair cutting skills is amazing.

Great haircuts; friendly professionals; short waits; free drinks and snacks. I've been a patron of Sooks 2013 as a Marine and now as a veteran. ~Ben H. USMC (ret) read more

I had an excellent experience at this barbershop--professional staff, clean environment, and a sharp, well-executed haircut that shows real attention to detail. read more

Tell them exactly what you need when you get there. They'll go out of your way to accommodate you. My cuts have been pretty straightforward. I've gone there for over four years and they're always consistent with the quality of cuts. Remember to bring cash. read more

A pleasant experience that I was not expecting Found this place when my normal shop was closed. 4 chairs, so the wait was not long. Cut was perfect, and so was the experience. Recommend to everyone. read more

Recently moved to the area and checked out a couple different barbershops and finally came to Sook's and found my spot. Easy to work with, can do all the nice cuts, and do a bic and straight razor shave. And the cuts don't hit the wallet. Highly recommend. read more

The atmosphere is quite friendly and the barbers have done a good job, not only on me but others that have entered during the time I was in. Highly recommended. Check them out! read more

I've had my hair cut in at least six different countries and when I moved to Northern Virginia had a difficult time finding a barber that could provide the level of consistency coupled with the "extra touches" I have come to appreciate. A neighbor told me about Sook's and since I went for the first time, I've never gone anywhere else. No matter which of the ladies cuts my hair, I can expect a consistent cut. In addition, they provide a hot towel, scalp massage and razor shave. Finally, Sook's military discount makes it the cheapest haircut around! Not often is the cheapest also the best! Thanks, Sook! read more

Overall, they have excellent customer service, and they are friendly. However, they don't cut the way you want them to. They listen to what you are saying, but they cut how they know and how they want. read more

Good barbershop, fair price, no critters seen. Thumbs up.... (Ignore this site-imposed filler)

Very friendly and got what I asked for when I had my hair colored I'm new to the area to so I'm glad I found my to go hair salon definitely going back. read more

Long time barber hung up the scissors and was in need of a new place. Tried several other barbers, then, listened to the reviews and gave Sook's a try. They did not disappoint. Hanna was my barber (Not used to a woman barber but gave it a try). She took the time to listen to what I wanted, asked questions in return and I felt comfortable all around. The entire staff was welcoming and I enjoyed the atmosphere. It will take a bit to get used to the nuances, however, I was very satisfied, and will return. read more

I've been getting my hair cut here for the last two or three years since moving to the neighborhood. Great service. Great value for the money. Friendly professional staff. Highly recommend them. read more

This is by far the BEST barber shop I've ever been to in 20 years of military life. Sook's skill set is beyond just cutting men's hair. Professional, clean and extremely friendly. Stop by and you won't be disappointed. read more

First haircut in a shop during COVID and my first time at this barber shop. Absolutely great service and very happy with the haircut! I was the only one in the shop and they maintained all protocols for COVID restrictions. Highly recommend Sook's! read more

Highly recommend- It's now been 2 years that I've been attending "Sook's" Barber. I've never had an issue with cuts for my Son, my Nephew, or myself. "Sook's" Barbers are all perfectionist and still at the end of the day, Super friendly. I'm always super satisfied with with my cuts -I'm definitely one of those people who will ask/point hair discrepancies- also, you don't have to set an appointment and get asked a million question about your cut. Just walk in, tell these fine ladies what you want, and soon after you'll be very pleased -plus at a fraction of what others charge. Couple of pluses are internet, toys for the tots, complimentary drinks, tv's, and a highly friendly environment. read more

I found this place on google and was looking forward to taking my two boys (12&10) due to the high rating and comments. They have had some so-so cuts lately at other places so we wanted to try something new. Sook and another lady cut my sons' hair and they both did a great job!! I showed a pic to one lady and just described what we wanted to Sook and they both gave us exactly what we asked for!! The prices are very reasonable and my boys are happy and look great!! Highly recommend. read more

Great place! Sook is the best as well as the rest of her staff. Clean and friendly. My son and I come this place regularly. We hope that you too bring your business (and get a good haircut that is) to her business. read more

I recently moved here. I found this place on Google. It has only two reviews, but the reviews we excellent, and so was the distance from where I was staying. I will go out of my way to get a haircut here from now on. You know when they take their time on your fade? You will when you come here. The haircut have me the extra confidence for my first day of work. Looked like a million bucks, and the cost was ten dollars. I was blown away. I got a high medium regulation skin fade. I don't know how her low fades are, but judging by how impeccable she did the medium, I'm willing to give her a shot and you should too. I don't know why I'm having to add this business to Yelp. It should be chalked full of five star ratings. read more

I asked for a low reg. They seemed very confident in knowing what that means since it's right next to Quantico. They didn't know what it means. They gave me a high and tight/edgy haircut. It looks horrible. I will never go there again. I should have consider the red flag of them just repeating what I said, but not actually replying to me with coherent English. If you can't understand what I'm saying, how are you supposed to cut my hair? read more

What a gem! We've been following Sook from her other shops to now her own "Sook's Barber Shop". She is by far the most professional, friendly & best hairstylist/Barber we had. Tried others but not in the same caliber as Sook. My wife & I drive 45 minutes to Sook's, that's how awesome she is & irreplaceable! read more

Went be here today for a quick trim. Not sure who cut my hair but they did a good job. Price was right too at $13 without tip. I'll be back when I need touchups for sure. read more

Love Sook! She was my hairstylist at a previous store and has created her own business. Love how welcome you are when you come in, the prices are decent and I loved my hairstyle when she was done. Number one place to go to for my haircut read more

This is a terrible barber shop for anyone who dose not have straight hair. Most of the other reviews are from people who don't have African-American or curly hair. If you do have African-American/ curly hair this is not the place for you. The cuts are rushed and do not come looking good. I've been to this barber shop on multiple occasions and each time my hair came out worse than the time before. My most recent hair cut from this abomination of s barber shop left me baffled. I asked for an even cut with a 1 guard( an extremely basic cut) and they gave me a fade and the top is a .5. The only good thing about this place is the price and the free drinks. You would be better off getting your hair cut from a blind man because this place does a terrible job of cutting hair. read more

Sook is a great barber and a wonderful woman! She does an amazing fade and has a wonderful barbers who work for her too. I'll be going to her as long as I live in the area! read more

So I was just cruising by needing a fresh haircut for the week, pulled in and just walked up by chance. Found that Ms Sook only recently opened and let me tell you, this is the best barber I've been to in 27 years! Great customer service, hospitality and conversation with Sook and the rest of her staff, all around the perfect place that is now my permanant barber shop! She has been cutting hair a long time at another barber, finally decided to take on her own clientele, opening her own place. Great prices, all the options, and the closest cut I've ever had. Go check her out, you won't regret it! read more

My husband looked on Yelp for a nice barber so we came to Sooks. A little out of our way but the place is vey nice. It's very clean and welcoming. They have the WiFi login and password clearly visible so you can use it while you wait. I also love they have their names at their stations. Hubby's haircut is nice too. read more
