SonShine HOA management is the worst that I have ever dealt with. Our fees continue to climb every year without notice, other familys homes, including my own have been broken into, when I first bought into the condo here in Florence, SC we were told that these condo's would only be sold for retirement age people and no renting, since 2004 over half of the units are rented, without background checks or concerns with the HOA rules. The rules were set up so that if visiting familys had children they could play only in the center court, boy was that a forest, we have kids looking in windows, riding skateboards in the breezways, writing on walls and sidewalks. We have found used condums in the parking lot next to our cars. Like I said, the half that own here are retired and live on fixed incomes, the HOA fees are now up to $155.00 a month, with 72 units, of which are all owned, so that tells you how much money they are getting for nothing in return to the home owners. There are sevrel untis that have 6 to 8 people living in them and those of us that own only have one or two person per unit. Our water is included in with our fees, so my question is why are those with more that two people living in a unit not paying more for the water?
The renting has forced our property values down, due to the POS that they rent to. We have a pool that must have a sign that says come on in its free to everyone, because on a regular day the homeowners are unable to get with-in 10' of it, every kid for 15 miles around must be here. (no arm bands of whcih you must wear to be in the pool).
I could go on, but this should give you a picture of this group, stay away from them, find another company. read more
