It breaks my heart that I subjected him to it that long. It's a guilt that never goes away. Steer clear. Edit: I appreciate the owner reaching out, but this place's chance has come and gone. I seriously suggest looking into the principal and the 3 & under teacher. Just because she has longevity doesn't mean she's good with kids. Maybe she was at some point, but she wasn't to my son.

We love our Colleyville Montessori family! They truly love our kids, and our kids love to go! Our…read morekids are 4 and 19 months, and have been going since they were almost 2 and 9 weeks respectively. Both have done amazing with development of motor skills (gross and fine), language, and life skills. I love how the montessori method focuses on building up to skills based on kids ages/skills, not just 'hey hold this giant pencil and try and write', but work on all those finger muscles before hand to build dexterity. We get quality communication from the teachers on our kids, and the staff work so hard for them! The school itself is clean and well run, with a great mix of staff. They provide the food so that's one less thing to worry about packing up each morning/evening. We participate in a lot of the extracurriculars they offer up (Spanish, soccer, dance, etc). They host special events/fun days, etc and work hard to build up a little community within the school! Also they offer flexible days/hours - our oldest started part time and both are now full-time, 5 days a week. Real-life testimony - Our toddler ran in to his teacher outside the school (she was on vacation and just picking up her own kid) and he ran to her before he ran to us!!

The guides have taught my two year old more than I could even imagine and they do it with such patience. There is such community with the kids too. When we arrive at school, the kids are so excited to see each other. Since it's a school and not only a daycare, you have to plan around spring break, winter break, etc but what I have seen out of my son since going here is beyond worth it. I joke with my husband that we can't ever move out of this area because, if we have a second child, they can't go anywhere but Waypoint.

What I love about this school is the simplicity of it. It is just the right amount of "schooling" for little ones, while letting them "be little", and keeping with some old fashioned, really great traditions; holiday celebrations like the annual pumpkin parade, friendship feasts, valentine's day parties and other fun activities are on the calendar every year. The art projects my little one brings home are simple, but well thought out by her, rather than the teacher, which really lets me know they let her little imagination work while at school. They also use a a great program called zoo-phonics to help teach the alphabet and letter sounds school wide, which is great because it builds from year to year as students pass through each little grade level/program. I love that it isn't over the top, and that their motto is "where children learn through their play". I love that they let my kid, be a kid! Students may enroll in school here beginning at 18 months, at the beginning of the Fall semester. They have a a toddler class, Cherubs class (for two year olds who are potty trained) several three year old classes and then several Pre-K classes. I love the whole school, directors, music teacher...everyone! I couldn't recommend them more! I just want to tack on a little edit as of 02/05: I want to give a shout out to the ladies at Fumc Preschool Euless ! This morning when I ran my three year old into class, with my baby on my hip, someone managed to smash my passenger side window, in the three minutes I was inside. Even though I was parked in the front row of the school and it was drop off rush hour, they made off with my purse with EVERYTHING inside. Luckily, my phone and laptop were in my diaper bag, hidden underneath the cleanliness of my car.... HA!I was so frazzled the girls at the school took Collins and placed her in Brett's classroom while I called and filed the police report. They helped me look up phone numbers to cancel credit cards and bank accounts, served me a piece of cake, got me a diet coke and a protein bar, and even cleaned up the glass for me, all while we waited for my husband. I have waited so long to write this review and am now so happy to be able to do so. I really wish I could give zero, or even negative stars, but I have to give one. Simply put, don't let these people near your children. My sons attended LSP and my older son was horribly mistreated. A teacher- who had been complained about by multiple other teachers- smothered him to keep him from crying at nap time. He has said it happened more than once. After becoming aware of this and bringing it to the attention of the Assistant Director, Tia (NOW THE DIRECTOR!), we found out that they were already aware of it and had failed to inform us. It turned out multiple teachers had complained to Tia and the then-director, Kelley, about this woman's behavior with students. We also found out from staff that Kathy, the "head teacher" was telling the then-two year olds, that monsters and skeletons were going to come and get them and the Big Bad Wolf was going to blow their houses down if they were bad. This definitely explained some nightmares our son (and others, we were told) suffered from. Staff turnover was so bad that at times I had no idea who was with my children. I picked them up one day and a girl I'd never seen before said "which one is ___?" It turned out he wasn't even in the classroom. Somehow he'd ended up in another room and she had no clue because she didn't even know who he was. Their DFPS records show toddlers left outside alone, teachers dropping children onto cots, and failure to report incidents, among other issues. Do your homework and read their reports. When we first found LSP, we loved it. We were so happy to have our son, and then sons, there. The old director, Chandler, was incredible. Unfortunately, after Chandler left the school fell apart. Corporate leadership didn't seem to care at all and has not once inquired about our son or our family. When we were able to secure new care and left, Kerri, their area director, tried to intimidate us into staying by telling us she had heard terrible things about the school we were going to (I still don't know how she found out where we were going, because I didn't tell her). UPDATE: I've now received an email from Abby, the COO at Little Sunshine's, containing veiled threats if I don't take down this review. Her primary threat is to respond to the review, disparaging me and my family, and I'm happy to address it. The fact that LSP only cares now that this review is affecting business, says everything. Yes, we filed a lawsuit and ultimately made the decision to file a notice of non-suit, which does not mean we dropped the suit. It means that our son can sue personally at a later date if he feels it is the right decision for him, and it also means that if further trauma from these incidents is uncovered, the suit can be reopened. The reason for that is that it was for our son's good. Little Sunshine's offered us a small settlement that came along with a non-disclosure agreement stating I would remove everything negative I've ever posted or reviewed about them, and that I would not tell anyone else about this ever. To challenge that settlement would have required going to trial, which would have been an extremely traumatic experience for my son. Our decision was that Little Sunshine's had already hurt him enough, and we wouldn't let them put him through months or even years of analysis, interviews, and attacks on his family. Absolutely no amount of money would have been enough for us to put our child through that. I also felt that it was not worth other parents not being able to learn about what they did to us. Parents deserve to know the things that happen where they leave their children. The incident with my son was investigated by DFPS and the then-Director's lack of response to it is noted on the Texas DFPS site. I will also note that I didn't post this review until after we filed the notice of non-suit because it made me so angry that they demanded I hide this from other parents.

The teachers, including Ms. Gopi, Ms. Ti'aunnah, Ms. Hannah, Ms. Madison, and Ms. Ashley have consistently impressed us and shown sincere dedication to the children they teach. All of our interactions with the administration have been positive and we have found them to be responsive and diligent. We have also found that parents of children attending the Goddard School in Southlake are friendly and welcoming. We have enjoyed the seasonal events hosted by the school and its efforts at creating a genuine sense of community among the families there. We are familiar with other pre-schools in the area, including some highly-regarded Montessori schools, and believe Goddard offers a superior academic experience and developmental environment for young children.
