They've got a good variety of information on nightlife, high school sports, town politics, and local farmers, artists, festivals, and misc. The reporting is totally biased to whatever agenda they want to promote, and does not include looking at both sides of a story. This newspaper exemplifies exactly why the news/media sources are corrupt these days, especially in a small town like Sonoma, where gossip prevails. When it does, they are the first to have it in print. The reporting is just awful.

The magazine is printed on a higher paper stock. It's 176 pages long with very few ads compared with other publications. The writing quality edges more on technical. At $14.99, this is the periodical I read on a semi-regular basis with the steepest cover price. I was fortunate enough to grab a $10 year-long subscription (four issues) at last year's Bay Area Maker Faire. And speaking of the Maker Faires, what I love most about Make is that they hold their own big events around the country (totally one-upping the now defunct Wizard, in my opinion). Even now they're hosting one-day science fairs and mini-festivals to try and boost interest - not just in the magazine, but in science, engineering, crafting, and so on. They're providing fuel to your mental fire, igniting new possibilities and ideas.

This will create a gap in my library and with this my subscription will end. Why would you chose to reduce service to such an extent that loyal subscribers have no choice other than to cancel ?
