They were told the kitchen was closed, which is completely fair. What happened afterward was not. The men politely asked if they could see a menu and make a reservation for the following day. They were not argumentative whatsoever about being unable to eat that night. The waiter refused to give them a menu or make a reservation and said, "You came all the way from India to look at a menu?" The men again responded politely. The waiter then said, "You Indian people are always showing up so late." It was completely uncalled for and extremely uncomfortable to witness. Nothing about the behavior of these two men warranted being spoken to that way. People should be treated based on their actions, not stereotyped or discriminated against because of their race or ethnicity. My girlfriend and I were so uncomfortable with what we witnessed that we decided to leave. On our way out, I spoke with the two men and told them that I had witnessed the interaction and thought the way they were treated was completely inappropriate. Despite the food being great, I will not support a restaurant where I personally witnessed customers being treated this way.

Despite the mix-up, we had a great time here. Krimpelstatter has a very nice and spacious biergarten with good beer and good vibes all around. Service was attentive, you can just sit anywhere and they will come around to serve you. We had some beers and snacks here and just enjoyed watching the people around us.

My only regret was that I should have tried the pumpkin soup. Our friend ordered and I sampled it. Omg... it was so good!! Our schnitzel and fried chicken main dishes were perfect!
