I wish our schedules lined up more, especially on the weekends, but otherwise, I do not have a complaint in the world. It's a restorative practice opposed to some other studios that I have gone to. You come out feeling rejuvenated, not coming out of a workout.

After attending one of his classes I've felt the most peace and inner freedom that I've ever felt in my life. It was seriously one of the most relaxing things I've ever done -- I can have an incredibly stressful day, come here and leave feeling a little lighter and happier. ILY's classes encourage you to challenge yourself, yet find your own practice and they don't encourage their students to all "look the same." Their instructors recognize that every individual has different strengths and weaknesses and deplore how yoga magazines sometimes emphasize there's a "right and only way" to do a posture. Practically every class will be imbued with a tinge of spiritual wisdom, so if that's not your thing -- you may get a little turned off. I encourage you to stick with it and just take it for what it is. They are just words which may resonate with you or they may not. The practice is great. Best studio in Syracuse -- hands down. In fact, every time I visit my parents in Syracuse I make an effort to go to a class. My only wish is they would have such compassionate and knowledgeable instructors who are able to blend theory with practice so perfectly in every city.

I decided to do this since I am a big fan of getting some daily workouts in and I'm so happy with this facility. Firstly, the staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. I really enjoyed a walking in everyday and being greeted with such warmth. Secondly the facilities are very clean, from the main lobby to all the workout areas and even the locker rooms. Finally, this branch has anything you might need: they are so well equipped! There are indoor tennis courts, they have an indoor field of turwhere people practice soccer and lacrosse, a variety of weight lifting equipment from dumbbells, weight machines, squat racks, bench presses, and also a variety of cardio machines (treadmills, elliptical, bikes, stairmaster)... I even saw a punching bag and some jump ropes around the weightlifting areas! Literally anything you could want, I'm sure you can find here, except maybe an indoor pool. I appreciated how respectful and considerate everyone who comes here was! Even the youngest members of the Y seemed very polite and mindful of themselves, something that always makes a gym experience better. I absolutely love coming here during my visit and will definitely take advantage of the student policies while I'm in school moving forward since it is a good way to access workout equipment while in town. Perfect facility for a variety of workouts/sports in Manlius--makes me wish I lived here!! Would recommend to anyone, sincerely!

I use the gym facilities (including the eGym system which is very cool), and we have thought about taking advantage of some of the childcare options they offer like "parents night out" The place hasn't changed a ton since it first opened. The locker rooms could use a refresh but the workout areas are solid. I'm not currently a pool user so I can't comment on that. I often come here with individuals with special needs and both the staff and members look and treat them like they're absolutely disgusted. You'd think an area known for its money would have class. Unfortunately, from my experiences here; that is the furthest from the truth. Due to the fact that I am not a large donor of the YMCA, those who do donate are basically buying a pass to be terrible people and the YMCA as a cooperation are allowing it. YMCA, you have disappointed myself and many others within my community. Do better.
