The team setting up was super friendly and we felt like we'd been there many times before-even though it was our first time. Very comfortable and relaxed which really helped with performance. Our engineer, Josh was so efficient and good at what he did, it was really neat to watch him work and care so much about the quality of our project. We were given a tour of another studio they have for live performances and hope to record in there as well. We got great tracks and great memories. The problem was that when they returned my call for what was to be a small transfer session, it was 2-3 weeks after their system had crashed and the music files were lost. My intuition was right to call them. For the record, I requested half back since I had waited to do the backup. Friendly reminder: MAKE SURE YOU GET A BACK-UP OF EVERY SESSION. Briel 10/24/15 Positive Update on Colorado Sound Many years later, we were able to go back into the studio here and get a much better product than the first sessions. Colorado Sound took the time to open up their doors so we could finish up the tracks. We were able to record a great Chorus in their A Room, which is a must for any pro musical project. The sound engineer, Jesse, was able to bring in a high-quality level of skill to this sessions. Great production work on the drum beats that filled in the rest of the Halloween song, "Creepin In" He also made changes to the audio I did not ask for, in a negative direction, which I noticed during playback. Also, the owner never checked in with me again so he only fixed the error to get me to change my review. I don't feel good in the end, just moderate.

I responded to an email that said they were doing a casting call. I went to the casting call and…read moreafter a 2 hour sales pitch that explained how you had to pay for their super expensive acting classes and then you will be given the opportunity to be connected to talent agencies. Inspire Talent is not an agency it is acting lessons and connections. If you are okay paying a 1-2 grand for that then I am sure they are a great organization. The one star is because of their shady tactics. They send over a script a couple days before to have your child start practicing for their "audition" when in reality there is no audition it is just a tactic to get your child pumped up on the idea of being a star. I can almost guarantee that all the children who "audition" are given a call allowing them to sign up for the classes. It wasn't until about 8:30pm on a school night when the "auditions" started. I was called the next day and told that 2 of my children were a yes and 1 was a maybe they just needed to talk to him and see if he was committed. They set up an appointment for me to come back that night to discuss further, again a school night. I dragged my children back again for our appointment and was made to wait an hour while they finished their other appointments ( I saw a lot of the people from the night before) . After 45 minutes of waiting I asked if I could see someone else since the lady I had an appt with was busy and I saw that the owner wasn't doing anything and still no one came to me. Since it was getting late again I left much to the disappointment of my children who thought they were special and were going to be movie stars. This happened a couple of months ago and I decided not to leave a review then but yesterday I saw one of their Facebook ads for another audition so I left a comment about how it wasn't worth showing up unless you were willing to spend some serious money for acting classes and my comment was deleted and I am unable to leave another comment. I will save this review in case they manage to get this deleted.

However, after lots of research and…read moreadvice from those in the industry, this "scouting agency" is definatley not the way to get an agent. They say all the right things and lure you in with pomises of stardom, training and all their access to the industry. But then they will ask for money up front by pitching you their package. These packages are in order to "train" you and are thousands of dollars! That's how you know that they are a rip off. When they ask for money up front, just walk away. This is one of those 'legal scams' because they do offer a service for a price. They may even get you an agent! But don't be surprised when you don't hear back from them. They sell you based on your lack of knowledge about the industry. You should NEVER have to pay that kind of money just to be represented by an agent. An agent recieves 10-15% of what you get paid for jobs. Therefore agents have an incentive to find you work. The other reg flag is that Inspire Talent is missing from the list of 'Professional Representatives' on the SAG-AFTRA website. That means that the industry itself doesn't even recognize Inspire as a legit agency! It is a competitive industry and the advice from reputable agencies for local training is to take classes at the Denver Center for Performing Arts. Don't let the intoxicating feeling of potential fame and fortune lead you down the wrong path! Thanks for reading and be smart!

It is really easy to book a room. Either book online or reach out via phone. One of Rocketspace's biggest pros is definitely Cass. She's super helpful and professional. There are a few band rehearsal spaces and individual drum practice rooms. Of course, band rehearsal spaces won't use the best equipment but even then some of the equipment is in pretty rough shape. I would say that everything works but just may not be to the standards that you might desire. Again, totally makes sense and people need to have their expectations to be reasonable. After hearing Reuben Gonzales play guitar/sing at a party recently, and knowing he was giving…read morelessons to one of the children of our host, I spoke with him about lessons. He was playing such a great mix of songs on his acoustic, it really motivated me to get off my *ss and play again. We spoke briefly, he's a great guy and I felt like it would be a fun experience. I'd maybe be classified as 'intermediate' skill level, I know most chord forms and read music albeit verrry slowly these days. I've had my first (hour) lesson, it was so fun and I already learned a lot. I had some 'bad' habits he corrected me on, started teaching me basic guitar music theory which I was totally ignorant of (also fun, this is not 'work') and taught me a couple great songs to practice some new chord forms. He uses an ipad plus writes things out as he teaches, and you get all of that from him after the lesson. He emails you the songs with the chord forms for guitar to practice. (I've now had 4 lessons, still fun every time, learning a lot of new chords and songs). Inexpensive too, compared to others I looked at, which surprised me as he's a really great teacher - not just a guy who plays great and 'tries' to be a teacher. He's a natural. HIGHLY recommend, he does half or one hour sessions here at LaunchPad in Golden. Also look for him playing at the El Rancho near Evergreen (weekends often), Holiday Bar in Morrison or the Buffalo Rose in Golden. Great to hire for private parties, which we'll be doing again soon as well.
