He makes it super easy to schedule (he takes Instagram DMs @chonny562.tattoo), and I can usually get an appointment in the same month. He's also incredibly detail oriented and collaborative -- I have very thin fingers, and he did my stencil like 6 or 7 times to make sure my tattoo placement was perfect. I used to go see AB at another studio where she touched up a tattoo and did 2 fresh ones for me in the past year or so (an arm full of plants running up my arm). I love her work! She put me at ease, worked with me on the design and placement and was so easy to talk to. Her lines are clean and on point and her application was basically painless! My plant tattoo healed beautifully! When I heard she moved to Sonamu Studio, I knew I had to follow her over there. 6 months later, I came to her with an idea to tattoo my other arms with an image of an empowered Eve and she definitely delivered. It's so effortless working with her to decide on the sizing and placement. It's always so comfortable getting tattooed by her since it's like relaxing and chatting with an old friend for awhile. I came across this studio because I was walking around Koreatown and saw their artwork on display! I'm so glad I did because I was greeted by Daniel who was sharing his work with me. I saw that he's done some Studio Ghibli tatts and I was interested in getting one. I'm a huge fan of Ponyo, but saw that he didn't have that one available. He was so accommodating and offered to stencil one out really quickly. Because this was my first time getting a tattoo, I was a little nervous, but he eased me into it and walked me through the whole process. The studio overall is clean and has a bunch of artwork on display from the other artists there. I was also waiting for my partner to finish getting her tatt done, so they let me walk around and borrow their phone charger. I felt comfortable and the two other artists I saw there were professional and welcoming. This was such a fun experience for me and I highly recommend checking this place out.
