I never in a million year thought I would join a CrossFit gym. I found them intimidating and not very welcoming the few times I took a complimentary class elsewhere. Somnium has completely changed my mind about that! From the second I walked in the door just to get more information I felt welcome. I love the fact that there is a Phase One (beginner class) that you can stay in for as long as you want to get comfortable with the "lingo" and movements. Coach Brian is so kind, patient and a amazing coach/teacher! I was surprise by how quickly I caught on and how excited I was to move onto the regular group classes! The biggest thing I have learned through the all the coaching is that CrossFit actually is for everyone. There is not a single activity that can't be scaled to your ability. The coaches never leave you on your own to figure out how to scale if you need to - and they give you that push to break out of your comfort zone when you don't believe in yourself. (Shout out to Ian and Tyler there!!!) On top of the top notch coaches they have the BEST members in town! You'll hear it over and over - but it's true - I joined a gym but ended up with an extended family!!! I have lost weight and gained muscle which is awesome but what I did not expect to gain was a new found confidence in myself - that's worth more than i can even explain. It may sound dramatic but joining Somnium saved me when I was in a pretty low place and I am happy everyday I walked in the door to take a chance! read more

This place is awesome. Facilities are really clean and the staff are super friendly. They do you body scans to help figure out a nutrition plan as well that most places you have to pay extra for. Austin, Jesse, Ian, Mel and Bryan are fun coaches that know how to both push you and make you feel comfortable all at the same time. We all dream big, and this place will make those dreams come true! read more

Should have planned a shoulder injury 30 days earlier. They will continue to pursue 4 weeks of payment even though they charge weekly. Asks for HIPPA information to justify an injury. Sporadically increases prices without notice or consent from the consumer. Would give zero stars if that were an option. read more

CrossFit can be intimidating especially when walking into a box where everyone knows each other already. Radon CrossFit does an exceptional job creating an inclusive, educational and positive atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable working out at their own pace. The coaches are attentive during class and are always willing to help me come up with goals to set and strategize how to reach them. Hours and facility location work great for my schedule! read more

Somnium fitness is more than a gym. Ive built such an incredible comaradery with the members who have become some of my best friends. The before/after results speak for themselves. I have seen many people transform their bodies and way of life, building strength, physique, and improved mobility. The coaches are incredible and offer so much more than lifting instruction. They offer coaching and insight on nutrition, meal plans based on your self goals. I highly recommend this gym. You will not be disappointed. 5 stars read more

My CrossFit journey has just begun, I joined Somnium in January of 2021. I use to drive by the gym on a daily basis and It peeked my curiosity. I was nervous to try something I use to think was out of my comfort zone, but everyone was very welcoming. Somnium gives you everything you need to be successful on your fitness journey. Your fitness coach helps you set goals, you receive a detailed meal plan, and there are accountability meetings to help keep you on track. The most rewarding thing about being apart of the Somnium family is the camaraderie between the athletes and coaches. read more

Honestly, this is easily the most amazing and enjoyable gym experience I've ever had. I had never done crossfit before, and was super intimidated, but there are so many different fitness levels and everyone is so friendly. Like many other reviews say, it truly does feel like a family from the moment you first walk in. The coaches (and everyone on the staff) are educated, fun and motivating. You can tell they're passionate about what they do! The meal plan and nutrition information is super helpful too. If you want to actually enjoy going to the gym, this is your place! read more

Somnium! The CrossFit gym where everyone knows your name. It's like Cheers, but with a different type of bar. The staff literally knew me by name my first day there. The classes are well taught by knowledgeable coaches. The facility is clean and well put together. The weights are heavy, and the other CrossFitters are always eager to offer advice or a kind word of encouragement.Somnium also offers easy to follow meal plans tailored to the individual. 10/10 would recommend. read more

This gym is a rip off ,they are way too expensive for the times that we going threw ,on the flip side they are pretty well maintained and some of the staff is great and some have a attitude when you ask questions read more

Such a great facility & atmosphere. I look forward to going every day! The people & the coaches are what make the environment so welcoming, and I love that I can bring my dog and she can play in their fenced yard while I work out. The coaches are always all-ears for you whenever you need them - they'll literally drop what they're doing and give you their undivided attention. Many people criticize CrossFit due to the lack of personalized attention with lifting form and technique, but I absolutely feel the opposite - even when there's 15+ people in a class, the coaches never miss a beat and consistently correct you & guide you. I've seen some amazing results with the resources & plans that they've given me. I always feel uplifted, empowered, and encouraged. read more

I've spent the last several years trying to go to gyms, hating every minute of it and getting more and more out of shape. I hate how impersonal they are, how awkward I feel there and how I have no real idea of what to do when I get there. Radon is the exact opposite of all that. I felt welcome the moment I walked through the door. I have had great coaching every day and after just a couple of weeks I am starting to shape up. Radon has a real community feel, which is great... very relaxed. For the first time maybe ever, I actually look forward to my workout. read more

I just started CrossFit with this gym maybe a week ago and I have been absolutely loving it so far. I'm new to Virginia so I knew if I was going to have to make this home for the next 5 years that I was going to have to pick a gym that best suited me. I picked this gym over the 5 others I was looking at because of their professionalism, their friendly coaches, and the family like members they have here. The coaches are super friendly and are willing to help in any way that they can and are willing to start anybody with any skill level. They always greet you with a smile on their face and genuinely show that they care. They truly go above and beyond of what you would think a coach would do. The workouts are AWESOME. I'm sore but I always want to come in for the next workout. Honestly so far this gym has brought out a better side of me and I can see myself staying here for a long time. 10/10 will recommend. read more

I've been attending class at Radon for almost two months and I absolutely love it. I love the gym, the coaches, the people and I love how strong I'm becoming. All three coaches (Tyler, Ian and Austin) are invested in your growth and ensure you're always improving. After the first week I felt like I was at home, it's a awesome environment with lots of awesome people. No one makes you feel incompetent. I was intimidated the first day I showed up because I have never done crossfit so I wasn't sure what I was in for. But after that, I realized no one was judgmental and everyone is encouraging. Nothing but great things to say. read more

I absolutely LOVE radon!! I joined with the goal of shedding a few pounds and gaining some muscle. I am probably the most UNfit person i know, i hate working out. I honestly did not know what I was getting myself into starting crossfit but a few of my friends go to Radon and suggested i try it. I have so many goals i'd like to reach and i have complete faith that the trainers can help me get to where i want to be. Everyone is so friendly and encouraging. It is like one big family!!
