The ladies behind the counter seemed experienced at handling bizarre, last-minute requests like mine, and ushered me through the steps of helium balloon blowing with reassuring aplomb. Luckily I had my checkbook with me for the 350E deposit I had to leave on the tank, which they give you a reasonable 4 days to return. I'll definitely be coming back here next time a costume party slips into my agenda or I plan on blowing up an embarrassing number of balloons in an insanely short period of time.

My son is starting kindergarten next year and I've been on the hunt for a lightweight wonder bag for him for his first day of school. The French love their cartable, and there are tons of varieties out there, but this shop carries a cool indie brand known for their skateboard bookshelves called Lemons de Choses that has made the PERFECT little cartable -- not to bulky, super lightweight and just the right amount of special flair for school while keeping things serious. But I had to run it by the kid to get his stylistic OK, and that's when I realized how special this place really is. The daughter of this mother-daughter owned shop offered to help me FaceTime with my son by holding up my phone for me to try the bag on for him. Walking around me and getting the right angles and such. Now that's service! I'll be back for other purchases for sure, especially since they also carry the great shelving brand Rose in April thats perfect for kids' rooms.
