The teacher is the key here. Marcela Baratella is one of the best Pilates teachers in São Paulo. Her focus and knowledge is astonishing. I've tried to do in different places but none got near. read more

This was an ideal place for me to take Pilates in SP (don't think they speak much English so don't…read moreget your hopes up as I never bothered to try). The facilities are impeccably clean. The instructors are all very well trained and friendly. The classes are challenging, fun and suited to your level. They always bring different tools and new exercises into the mix to keep it interesting, and the studio is never overly crowded so that you feel like you are being rushed off of a machine but rather spacious, light and airy. It's not cheap, but it's worth the great service level. Admin are friendly and responsive as well.

After living in São Paulo for a few months and treating myself like a king when it comes to eating,…read moreI've gained a few extra pounds, then a few more. Shopped around for gyms and whoa, SP has way too many, from mom and pop shops, to cheapos, to some with sky rocket memberships. Bio Ritmo surely offers most of the things I was looking for, cleanliness, a variety of classes, spin classes (here in Brazil, they call it bike classes), and even yoga classes. Plus, the facility is immaculate, and really cool, like the spin class, it's like a club filled with spin bikes, flashing lights, a dj booth, and a really cool vibe to it. Plus2, patrons that come to workout are friendly. All their cardio machines have personal tv, radio, and even the intrawebs! Staff is uber friendly. Parking on site with valet.
Great little gym in Moema. I signed up for the Pilates 2X/week package for six months. I like how…read morethey limit the class size to three people or less. They also have personal training downstairs and a small spa (really just one room for massage therapy). My instructor Natalie is super funny and nice, but also challenges you to complete more difficult exercises. Highly recommend!

Definitely not your mom's yoga classes!…read more 1. Cute studio very close to Vila Madalena's heart, it's in VM but not in the heart of it, which makes it even better, for parking, not overly noisy. Actually no noise at all during classes. 2. Temperature is kept at 40C/104F at most times, making me more bendy. Since I love the heat, I didn't have any discomfort, have brought friends here that were not used to, they first felt it was rough but after one or two sessions they enjoyed the temperature. 3. Teachers are awesome! Have taken classes from Amanda, Alexandra, Stephanie in English, and Andrea which IMHO is awesome, intense classes and good attention to detail. 4. Parking situation is easy on most times, Saturdays since there is a street farmers market, it can be tough, but no fret! There are a parking lot right across the street which charges R$8 per time and not per hour! 5. Lockers in the bathroom! Bring your own lock and a towel since they have nice shower boxes! 6. Fridge is packed with goodness: fresh cut fruit bowls, a variety of kombutcha flavours, cold water bottles. Also, there is drinking water on tap! Why not 5 stars then? I wish teachers would communicate better in how to land in to some positions, walk through each step carefully, be more detailed oriented, tell us the benefits of each asana, point out options instead of correcting poses for injured people. Also expand their variety of classes, would love to see more vinyasa classes. But overall, this is a great studio and much better than high end gym's in town. Plus they have a R$ 99 introductory plan for 20 consecutive days! Can't beat that in SP!

It has all the infrastructure that all major gyms in São Paulo have, but I would say that the best features are that it is not as busy as most of them and they have fair prices for what they offer. There is a swimming pool (25m - short course) with ozone water treatment and regular maintenance with an exclusive changing room for the ones having swimming classes. And in case you feel hungry, there is a cafeteria where you can have quick (but not very healthy) bites.

While somewhat pricier than other clinics, the treatment is also more effective, so it seems to be worthwhile.
