When I made the booking, the owner assured me they would carry out proper due diligence and identify the root cause of the issue. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of that expectation. After a few hours, I was told the "diagnostic" had been done using a diagnostic machine only, with no meaningful additional investigation. There was no visual inspection, no deeper fault-finding, and no attempt to properly validate the issue. They simply repeated the same fault code information I was already aware of. Based on this very superficial check, they quickly recommended a major and expensive repair -- without demonstrating any thorough analysis to justify it. When I asked reasonable questions to understand their process and reasoning, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude rather than a professional explanation. What's most disappointing is not just the lack of diagnosis, but the lack of honesty and professionalism. If the garage does not have the expertise, time, or willingness to properly diagnose a vehicle, it would be far more professional to say so upfront rather than provide a costly recommendation based on a basic scan. I trusted them to treat both the job and me as a customer with professionalism and respect. Instead, I received neither. I would not return to this garage and would not trust their diagnostic conclusions.

The repair was carried out most efficiently, I found their workshops to be very clean and modern and Phil to be most helpful and knowledgeable. My car was back on the road and off to the test centre for retesting (which it passed of course) by early afternoon and the final bill exactly what it said on the tin. Long story short - this garage tried to charge me almost £600 for work that was simply not…read morerequired. I booked my car in as I knew it needed new brake pads. After an inspection, I was told it also needed a replacement calliper and full brake fluid change. I was dubious and got a second opinion. The honest mechanic I took it to checked it over, and after two hours of poking prodding pulling etc, found absolutely nothing wrong with the calliper at all, I needed new brake pads, as I thought. There was also no requirement whatsoever for a full brake fluid change. My brakes were fixed for £75 (brand new parts) Thing is, if I had have trusted them and paid up, I would never have known any different. Since telling others about my experience I've discovered that other things have also gone on - such as damaging a lady's car during a routine service, and then when it broke down after just after leaving the garage, they passed it off as a coincidence and refused to take the blame. Don't use this garage. I've reported them to trading standards. Shocking.
