In 5 months of living in these "luxury" apartments, we have had our garage broken into twice, a mold issue, went without hallway carpet for 4 months while at the same time the "office" was converted into a gorgeous space with approximately $300 spent on throw pillows. Also, in this time we were told that they were having a party where they didn't want "tenants eating all of their food." (But they couldn't spent the extra money on getting us dryers that actually work.) The security we pay for has never actually locked the doors, which has lead to many late night guests, some of which have been intoxicated on floors with small children. It took them until this month to actually hire someone to clean the complex (vacuum, pick up trash) most likely due to the tremendous amount of complaints from families who live here. (Since we moved in the carpets had not been picked up or vacuumed.) We now have college aged kids, (in a primarily FAMILY housing unit) who are partying and smoking marijuana. Mind you, this complex is full of families and young children. AND today, we found out that another family in the complex had their garage broken into and things stolen out of it, which has happened to both us and a couple other tenants we have spoken to. The most frustrating part is that the management is lazy and do not take care of their tenants. Every complaint or concern I have made to management has been received with either carelessness, negligence or outright anger directed at me. Willmar residents, think twice before you move into Somerset properties. We aren't even half way through our lease and have already been incredibly anxious to get out of here. We do not feel safe and do not want to live in a place we do not find appropriate for children. (My wife and I have a daughter and one on the way.) They are incredibly tricky, sly, dishonest sales persons when they show you the property and apartments so be aware. They say they are "clean and comfortable" but there has been nothing "clean and comfortable' about the overall complex in our duration here. read more
