What makes…read morethis quadrennial cattle call different is everything from reporting to selection will now be done via Zoom. I have the tech so it's not much of an imposition however, what if you don't have the tech and the required laptop and camera? This state sanctioned methodology simply exacerbates the socioeconomic "digital divide" and seems a bit onerous and disenfranchising to the less affluent and/or less tech savvy citizens who, in my reading of the ancient parchments, have every right to sit on a jury. In the email explaining the process, Middlesex County (NJ) just assumes everyone's wired with no obvious recourse if you're not. As government has taught us numerous times over the years, every new foray into public sector technology always ends in a shambles or damn close to it. We'll see. I'll know more when I "report" in on Monday but this approach seems troubling and carries a raft of unintended consequences. One star until proven otherwise.

Well haven't been here in quite awhile. Family court for all your divorce, child support, visitation…read moremediation and other family related issues. This is the place to go in Middlesex County. They do have a large parking garage, but it has gotten very expensive. If you can find parking on the street with the meters which they block off on occasion go for it. Also if you have to be there at 8 or 9 am be prepared to be there awhile as sometimes each case takes longer than some. If you're there still by 12:30-1 bring lunch or find a place to eat bc you will be there longer. They're usually efficient but sometimes things take longer. There are guards/cops and a metal detector before you can go further, be prepared to empty pockets. The cops are helpful if you don't know where to go, just ask. I'd say great check in, but not a place you want to be in regular basis bc duh..court. Get their early for parking but not too early so you're not broke by the parking garage fee. They also do not validate parking anymore.

Being highly impressed with his work ethic in court, I used his office for several real estate transactions. I would have never known that there were some rough spots during the process because the Simon Law Group handled everything flawlessly! Soon I was recommending him to friends and using him for all my legal needs...wills, trusts etc. Always got great feedback a ton of thank yous' for recommending him. It wasn't until last year when I had false criminal allegations made against me by a coworker that Britt showed me what a great lawyer and man he really is.He stood by my side every day for 8 months until we successfully got through it. That is why he gets 10 stars! I highly recommend the Simon Law Group for all your legal needs, big and small!

I hired Mr. Roberts to handle a charge that stemmed from being in an abuse relationship with…read moresomeone I also worked for who did something illegal (and since I worked for him at the time, I got screwed). I live outside of New Jersey. I talked to several lawyers before Mr. Roberts, all who told me that I would have to fly and travel to New Jersey to respond to the arrest warrant, get booked, and enter my not guilty plea. I was actually hung up on by another lawyer (Jonathan F. Marshall) when I told him I had talked other lawyers, which I assume is a normal thing people do when they are looking for representation. After telling Mr. Roberts the facts of my case, he said there was a chance that I wouldn't have to fly to New Jersey to enter my plea and he would be willing to try to get the prosecutor to agree to me appearing virtually and also to drop the arrest warrant. I hired him immediately, seeing that he was at least willing to TRY, even if the chances were small. He was able to get the arrest warrant lifted and I was able to enter my plea via Zoom. Mr. Roberts was communicative, understanding, firm, and knowledgeable during my entire experience with him. He walked me through the steps of each process, understanding that I tend to get major anxiety when I'm in a situation that's completely foreign to me (which legal situations are). He was thorough in his work and I believe he went further for me than anyone else would have that I spoke to. I did end up having to go to New Jersey to apply for Pre Trial Intervention, which means I had to get booked into system. This was an extremely scary thing for me, but Mr. Roberts arranged for me to get booked at the courthouse instead of the police station and set everything up for me in advance, including letting the officer at the courthouse who was going to process me aware that I was coming and I think he probably told him I was very nervous based on what the officer told me when I arrived. A long review just to say that if anyone needs a criminal defense lawyer in New Jersey, I recommend Mr. Roberts and his law firm wholeheartedly. He made a daunting process less scary and I ended up getting accepted into a Pre Trial Intervention program that will eventually get the charges dropped and I'll have the option of getting it expunged from my record.
