Kitty is amazing both as a practitioner and person! I began to work with Kitty after I was involved in a second car accident - 2 in 2 years. I had severe whiplash and lower back pain. The pain extended to my legs as well. I had been working with a chiropractor for 8 months and I wasn't getting better. I was in chronic pain and was unable to engage in the activities I had enjoyed before the car accident. I felt pretty hopeless before working with Kitty. After my first session with Kitty, my neck pain went away for the first time in months! Kitty took the time to listen to me and really understand my unique injuries. She truly cares about her clients and I always feel better after seeing her. She is skilled, thorough, and will try different modalities to better serve her clients. She even let me borrow one of her textbooks so we could further identify the exact facial tissue associated with my injuries and better target our treatment plan. While I'm not fully healed yet - I'm seen progress and results in working with Kitty. I feel hopeful again and trust that it's not a question of if I'll heal, but rather when I'll heal. On the personal front- Kitty is a person of integrity and character. She does what she says she will and is incredibly caring. I'm a type 1 diabetic and had a low blood sugar after one of my sessions. Not only did she stay with me to make sure I was better, but she offered me sugar to feel better. I feel like she cares about me as a person and wants me to fully recover. She's the best massage therapist I've worked with. I feel incredibly lucky to have found Kitty and look forward to celebrating with her when I've fully recuperated! read more

I just went on a roadtrip to Montana and my arm was killing me from work (I do house cleaning, so lots of scrubbing, lol). She saved me from being miserable on that entire trip, which involved kayaking too. She accommodated a last-minute appointment before I left. Pretty sure she spent an hour and forty minutes just on my problem area---neck down to hand---and I felt night and day different when I left. I know I'll need more time with a fully-body massage, (issues are never just in one spot) but in the time we had, it was leagues beyond what I could have gotten anywhere else. She really puts the time in to resolve your issue, and if it requires more time than a single appointment, she will research the heck out of it and attack it until it's gone. Not only is she a fantastic therapist, she's a joy to talk to and has amazing music and ambience. She's the best! read more

I've been searching for a massage therapist for months! I needed a knowledgeable, experienced therapist to help me manage my chronic sciatica pain and back issues. I have scoliosis and had childhood surgery. Massage is a necessity. Monthly visits helps manage my chronic pain that flares up when stressful life situations come into play. Kitty is amazing and after one treatment I can stand up strait and walk without pain! I'm so thankful to have found her! I have no dout in a few months I will be pain free with her amazing massages! Thank you Kitty read more

I went to Somata in the middle of a very stressful week due to dealing with my sisters death and was so helped with the stress and physical challenges. The massage was perfectly deep with only 2 sensitive places a bit much due to my issues. When I left I was able to think more clearly, deal with the issues at hand and actually relax before getting back to the tasks. I would highly recommend Somata massage to anyone looking for relief and relaxation. read more

Kitty is a decent replacement to my massage lady back home. She is very accommodating if it's too hard and what not to switch up. The one thing I don't like is she doesn't spend as much time on my back as I would like, which is the primary reason I go. Have left with my knots still pretty much there after my 2 appts. She's a super sweet lady and you can't beat the monthly membership! The room is also a bit brighter than I would like, I've previously had massages where if the room was more light they'd put something over your eyes. Will definitely continue to go back and ask for less other body massaging and more back massaging:) read more

I have had the pleasure of going to Kitty for a massage...not only does she take her time with you, she asks directed questions to determine exactly where your pain is and works on those areas. She really knows what she's doing, and when I leave I feel like a different person. I would highly recommend Kitty and Somata massage if you're looking for a great massage therapist. read more

Katherine is amazing. In all my life Ive never had a massage therapist take the time to understand my physical issues injuries and in my case... chronic pain that I deal with from an injury 20 years ago. I'm an athlete and former ski racer hockey player and have pretty much beaten up my body playing sports for many years. Katherine of Somata massage is working wonders and helping my pain. She even took the time to consult with my chiropractor. Not your typical MT. I would recommend her for anyone/everyone!!! read more

I had been searching for a massage therapist that really "gets in there." I hate leaving a massage feeling like I only got a light rub down. I want my muscles to feel like they've been kneaded like dough and that is exactly what Kitty does! She has a personable and calming demeanor. I instantly liked and felt comfortable with her. I've gotten both Swedish and Prenatal massages from Kitty and always leave feeling relaxed. Highly recommend! read more

Kitty is very knowledgeable about the body and how to help her clients feel better. She takes time to understand mine and my husband's issues and impliments a variety of personalized techniques to provide relief. Her prices are very affordable for the type of therapeutic care she provides and I highly recommend her. read more

Kitty is one of the best massage therapists I have encountered! She gave a thorough massage, hitting muscles that most therapists don't even think about I.e., psoas, jaw muscles, rectus abdominus....... She will be able to correct some muscle imbalances I have had for years, thank you Kitty! read more

Okay I gave it 4 stars bc I heard Yelp hides most of the 5 star reviews. I wanted my voice to be heard so I am going with four but it deserves five stars. This place is the best place to get a high quality massage. I mean I had massages all over town and Kitty is the best. She knows your body and how to make it feel better. Kitty is so professional and she is extremely serious about making you feel like a brand new person with a brand new body. When I get neck or back pains, I run not walk to her office. She honestly makes me feel better right away. When I wake up the next morning I feel like I can run around with my 5 year old without looking like an old grandma. At first when you go to her office building (it is kind of an older building) you will think wow this is old and I hope I don't fall off the stairs. But when you enter her office, it is clean and nice. She definitely takes care of it and you will feel comfortable. I definitely have had massages at fancier places but they were all so expensive and not worth it. Kitty's prices are reasonable and she is definitely worth every penny. She is also the nicest and kindest person. I highly recommend her. I normally don't like giving away my secrets of good people. I am scared they will book up and I can't get an appointment. But I feel like I am helping the universe by sharing this information. read more

Kitty has been my massage therapist for about a year now and she does phenomenal work. She's very passionate and knowledgeable about what she does and has always been very accommodating to meet my needs. Recently, she tried cranio sacral therapy on me. I've had neck and shoulder issues for years and at times, massage (even deep tissue), hasn't been enough. Last time I saw her she suggested we try cranio sacral therapy. It was incredible! The slow and gentle "holds" she used on my back, neck and head for minutes at a time were very different from what I was used to, and I was a bit skeptical. However, not only did I begin to feel the slow release of pain as she was working but I've NEVER felt so relaxed in a massage! I felt like I was floating. It has been one week since this treatment and I'm still pain-free and sleeping great. I strongly encourage people to try cranio sacral therapy with Kitty!!! read more

Kitty is very knowledgeable and has studied much more than the average massage therapist. She has a great technique- good pressure but I rarely feel sore the next day. I would recommend trying Kitty, you don't know what your are missing! read more

I work at a retirement community where Kitty comes once a month to give the seniors massage therapy. I always make sure to get one when she visits because she is the best! Her prices are very reasonable and we all agree that we feel much more relaxed after she has worked on us. She has many repeat clients and I have heard nothing but good things about her technique. read more

As a holistic nutritionist I am a lifelong student of health and all things body. I've had some training in bodywork and several movement modalities so I'm in touch with my own body and general anatomy. I've spent many hours trying out different body work techniques and practitioners, and I'm a very tough critic. Kitty is someone I've gone back to time and time again because of her knowledge, commitment, and curiosity about healing and the human body in general. She's not just here to rub your large muscles, she is truly dedicated to healing pain from the root cause and guiding the body into a better patterns and alignment to reduce and eliminate pain for the future. read more

Like most people in Colorado, I stay very active and abuse my body much more than I reward it. Fortunately, every time I go see Kitty for a massage it's a very rewarding experience as she is always able to locate the problem areas and use a variety of techniques to release the knots. She's very knowledgeable about her craft, clearly cares about her clients well-being, and consistently provides an excellent massage which is why I will always go back and continue to recommend her to anyone that will listen! read more
