I arrived at Soma with my list, super excited that we had a local store. It was about 4:30 pm and 90oF outside. Their front door was wide open. It had been a beautifully cool morning so thinking they just hadn't realized how much it had warmed up, I asked the sales lady if they knew their front door was open. She replied "yes". I said "it's awfully warm outside, I was going to shop, but I'm not comfortable with the door wide open letting in all the heat." She told me the manager wanted it that way, it was "welcoming". I asked to speak to the manager. I was told she was in the back but would be up front soon. When the manager entered I shared my concerns: hot air in, AC running longer/harder, more electric usage, more air pollution produced/demand on grid. She said she didn't see a problem, it was "company policy". I said "you're telling me the company doesn't care about the environment?" She replied "I wouldn't lie". And again said she didn't see the problem. Knowing I was NOT going to be shopping with people with such disregard for our environment and community (think demand on electric grid) I told her the "open door on a hot day is a big FU to the environment" and she told me to leave. No problem! I like the product but will NOT give my business to someone so irresponsible. I called corporate and was told there is NO company policy requiring doors be left open. read more

Was measured right there in the middle of the store, was given a bra to try and then the salesperson never came back to check on me. After several minutes waiting in the dressing room, I got changed and left. As I was leaving, she called out, "Did it work?" My response was, "I don't know. Thank you," because no one came to check if it was a good fit. Maybe they didn't need my business so they truly didn't care. Pretty store, though. I would have loved to have purchased things there. read more

Was ignored by the sales associate. Left and went to the Soma at the outlet mall and had great service. Avoid this snooty location.

Was in this store the other day. I was ignored by store staff for about 15 minutes, time I took to look through their pantie selection. The customer service was not what made me leave the store, it was the very cheap quality of their product. The fabric was less than paper-thin. 10 washes and that pair of underwear is in the trash. Bad quality even for "Made in China". Their underwear has these silicon linings, I really don't know what that is for, but I can see that causing discomfort and rubbing on some skin types. Nahh! If I could leave no stars I would. My first experience with Soma, so I asked for a fitting, knowing what my actual size is (34G), but all brands are different so I thought I'd save time and let them measure me. Oh lord. The sales Asst. measured me, one time only (?!) OVER MY SHIRT and SPORTS BRA, which she knew I was wearing, and declared me a 36C. Um, what? When I tried to tell her no, I'm usually a 34G, she insisted I was 36C. I was hoping to try 2 bras just so I could show her how far off she was, but I lost my patience when I actually put them on. Those cups were so small they wouldn't have fit me at age 14, let alone 29. When I told her how laughable the cups were, actually pushing my breast tissue around to my sides (!?!) she said "well, but did the band work?" Woman, do you not understand how a bra works?! When the cups are that far off, the band could actually be the right size but still won't fit or sit where it should. Nothing about that fit was right. Ill fitting bras are what causes 85% of back fat, because newsflash: it isn't back fat! It's migrated breast tissue from repeatedly wearing cups too small for your body! For heavens sake, save yourselves: get on bratabase.com, measure yourself so you aren't at the mercy of poorly trained sales staff looking for a commission, and get a bra that won't push your breasts to your shoulder blades! Fyi the correct way to fit a bra is measure around the fullest part of the bust, then measure the rib cage under the bust; the difference between the 2 measurements is then compared to a chart to give you an accurate cup size. For band size it is the underbrush measurement. It's not complicated, but it can't be done with just one measurement. read more

Love their bamboo fabric panties that stay dry. They hold up to washing and last a long time too. Pricy at $15 a pair, but they usually have a sale going on. One time I got 7 pair for $45. Next time I got 4 for $45. They are worth the price. read more

Don't waste your time for a bra fitting!! I have had many bra fittings before and was very disappointed with the fitting. Not only was it a totally different size then I normally ware but when the sales lady came back in to see how it fit I explained the straps were to tight. She told me they adjusted in the back.... of course I know that but once the bra is on help is needed. With my other fittings the ladies have always adjusted the straps and made sure the bra fit like a glove. This was not done. She even pointed out that the bra didn't fit quite right but that perhaps I should sit in the dressing room and write an email or check my email to see if it was comfortable for me rather then offering a different bra or size. I purchased two bras and a set of pj's but I had a hard time getting help finding sizes in the pjs. They were having more fun trying to make a baby smile then help the people in the store. I asked if one of the pj tops came in a different size and they told me to look on the rack and if it wasn't there they probably didn't have it.. grr of course I looked that's why I was asking. Needless to say once at home I wore the bra and it was the worst fit I have ever had. I returned everything. When I went in to return my purchases the lady behind the register didn't ask if she could help make things better. I have several pjs from the store that I purchased in a different state and I am sad my experience wasn't the same at this store. read more
