Walked here from our wyndham hotel by Olympic Park about a mile away .. according to yelp was the cheaper priced liquor store in the area.. still consider expensive as i dunno what. Needless to say we walked out without purchasing anything. Tho they had a wide selection of liquor n spirits you'd think they'd not try to hit you over the head with the price.. I mean they must charge storage fees because the price was no Bueno ... maybe get out of downtown when purchasing liquor.. would not recommend or go again TOO PRICEY !! read more

This package store is in midtown Atlanta on the corner of a busy intersection. Expect few spaces to park. There is nearby off street and garage. The store is compact but I was still hopeful for some great bourbon finds. The clerk was nice and assisted me as all the bourbon is behind the counter. It can easily be seen and she was willing to give me a bottle to inspect. I did run across a few allocated that were priced some what over MSRP, but not horrible. Ultimately I walked out empty handed because it was not the bourbon I was specifically looking for. The service was strong and although smaller dejections they had big hard to find bottles. 3.5 rounding up. read more

Sol's is one of the few liquor stores near our hotel and the service was great. Had the chance to speak with the owner who gave some context on the liquor they shelve and the quality of liquors at Sol's. The prices are pretty good, they stock just shot everything. The shop was clean and staff were attentive to each customer. We got a bottle of Brugal and it was $24.99, which is comparable to what I'd pay at home (DC). It was a smooth bottle and the presentation was a big selling point as well. While in ATL, Sol's will be in rotation. read more

Can you say over priced!? They are located in a area where a lots of tourist are I am sure thats why the prices are so high. Despite being located by high end hotels the selction is not all that. Limited amount of wines and alcohol is 2 times what you would pay anywhere else. The service is mediocre I just stepped foot in the store and started looking and the cashiers ask if the could help me mutiples time back to back. Other than that no real help was offered. Its a small store if 10 customers came in at the same time it would be packed lol. Luckly I had 2 friends to split the cost of the bottle with otherwise I would have gone broke lol. If your in the area consider looking at other stores as this one is pretty costly. Or be prepared to pay an arm and a leg for a bottle lol. read more

Let's start on a positive note. The craft beer selection is quite good, and definitely the best selection within a 1 mile radius. There is nothing else within walking distance of this part of downtown that has a good selection of beer and liquor. Now for the negative. As others have emphasized, prices are inflated. No need to expand on that. My main complaint is one of cleanliness. I bought a 6-pack of canned craft beer and when I got back to my hotel I noticed that the lids of the can were filthy. I didn't notice it in the store because the can lids are covered by one of those plastic 6-pack holders that are commonly used with beverages. Once I popped the can off, the lids of the cans were covered with dirt, dust, and the worst, hair. 1cm hairs, about 2 per can. That's disgusting. I thoroughly washed and sanitized the tops of each can before opening because there was nasty stuff all over each one. There is no excuse for that. Breweries don't ship 6-packs in conditions that allow hair to end up on the can surface. Disgusting... I don't know how all the hair, dirt, and dust ended up on these cans underneath the plastic holder component, but it looks like these cans were bundled into the plastic holder after-the-fact and in the process accumulated a lot of filth. These came from a refrigerated shelf at the store so it's not like they are sitting on an exposed shelf in the store. I do visit Atlanta a few times a year for business but I can say with certainty if I ever visit Sol's Liquors again, I will not buy something that comes in cans. I give it 2 stars because there isn't anything nearby with that sort of selection. read more

The wine selection is poor. Interesting that they use all of their refrigerator space for bottles in the $8 variety. Considering they are walking distance from the Ritz, you would think there would be selections more appealing to that clientele. Dear Tourists, You are very limited in selection when it comes to liquor stores. If you stop at one of the two stores on Baker/Peachtree (across from Hyatt) you will get royally f'ed at the sake of convenience. I get the markups, but a bottle of Andre' should not run $20. Ever. In fact, they should pay people to consume it. That's just an example of the exorbitant prices. In addition, selection sucks at both stores. When there is more Moscato then good wine, we got a problem. Back to Sol's. It's right across the street from Sheraton on the corner of International and Courtland. MUCH better variety spirits and wine and even craft beers. No dusty bottles, service is awesome and most importantly the prices are very reasonable. That same Andre' might cost you $14. Parking available for a Yugo and a tricycle, so just walk and save the headache for your hangover. read more

Very little quaint liquor store. Wry limited supply and have a downtown feel on their prices. Be prepared to pay for their location. Limited parking, very little shop. Supply is also limited. This is the only place I have found where you can get a decent bottle of wine in downtown Atlanta. That's saying something!
