( quadruple what they told you) And for some strange reason the pin pad doesn't reveal the price, so you believe the price that the salesman tells you! Hm what to say... Well this place gets one star for being the only liquor store around this area. If you are staying at the Hyatt Regency Peachtree Center like I was then it's right there and although it's expensive for their booze, it's still cheaper than the hotel bar and such. So we decided to get stocked up for the weekend here and the best thing is that the guy I call Super-Burr-Head is there. He's like Super Chicken Man to locals I think, but there's this guy who seems perpetually to be eating chicken in the store, sometimes stocking the store and always wearing a Superman outfit. My friend and I waited about 5 mins to enter this store due to COVID on 10/31/2020. Once inside, it took nearly 10 mins to decide what we wanted. While waiting in line to make our purchase, there was a commotion outside that led to a shooting, and we could hear a female screaming. Everyone in the store was in a panic. The store owner/employee decided it was a good idea to make us leave through a back door. We refused to leave until the police arrived because we didn't know what the situation was outside. I think it was terrible for the store owner/employee to attempt to put us out considering what was going on outside. For the perceived size of the store and it's location, the selection and variety of options is fantastic. The prices are shocking to the system but I'm not sure what else I should have expected for a downtown liquor store. The store is crowded, like many small liquor stores I have been to in many places. Only good thing is convenient location. We stayed in the building next door this store. THEY PRICE GOUGE YOU TO DEATH! You know how you go to Walgreens and CVS and pay for convenience, because it is quicker, take that and add like another 30%. This is absolutely ridiculous. I would give it zero star if it was possible. They have a $10 credit limit, but no worries, you wont find anything under that anyways. The weather was dreadful, raining, and the CVS closed because it was a Friday night; the next day we went somewhere else to grab some wine, but this night we had no choice but to pay theses obscene prices. Peachtree Liquor Store is in the corner of the Peachtree Towers building, at Peachtree and Baker in downtown. Years and years ago, this was not the best part of town. Someone unkind would have called it 'ghetto'. And they'd call this a 'ghetto liquor store'. I get the impression (from the oversize singles of beer and the plethora of those airplane-size bottles of the hard stuff) that this places caters to people that, uhhh, ask for spare change. But it's not for me to judge. I've popped in here in emergencies such as being on a MARTA pub crawl with train stops lasting 20 minutes or to grab a last-minute bottle of vodka to take to a party I was already late to. This is not a liquor store you'd choose if you have the means and/or time to go somewhere else. (Or health insurance that covers rehab.) It's very dusty, ridiculously overpriced, and huge stacks of boxes narrow the aisles so much that they verge on being a violaton of the fire code and/or ADA regulations. Some sample prices as of this evening*: Yellowtail chardonnay for $19.99 Sutter Home chenin blanc for $16.99 4-packs of wine were $16.99 except those that were $22.99 Jaegermeister 750ml botle for $39.99 I didn't price beer because I don't know what's normal for that. Liquor store is across the street from the Hyatt Hotel which was convenient as we were staying at the Marriott which is literally down the block. The prices are extremely high but I'm guessing it's because it's across from the hotels. Everything was priced atleast 50% more than what you would normally pay. Walking in there is a buzzer which counts how many people are coming in. The place could use a facelift being that it's downtown however the owners were pretty nice. read more

A beer at the hotels around here will cost you $12 and here you can buy six packs for $12. So, really the trade-off is worth it for the incredible selection. They have absolutely everything.
