My ticket stated pick up a week later . I returned a week later and was told they are not ready, come back tomorrow , note: matter of fact they had not been touch. I actually waited an extra day and went back on 10/ 2. They could not find my boot, when they did find it, it still had not been touched . I asked for my boots and my money, instead I was told it would be completed in 10 mins. This was clearly not the service I expected and the owner stated that I didn't have to come back . No worries your customer service was as shitty as how my boots look. Terrible !!!

Cobblery is a dying art, but cobbler and store owner Bill is keeping the tradition alive in…read moredowntown Ravenna, and your shoes will be the better for it. My mom has been going to his shop for decades, and now I'm hooked after he expertly re-heeled a pair of oxfords that would've otherwise gone to the Goodwill pile. He can also do repairs on things like handbags, and he even patched an area on a piece of my rolling luggage, all at a very fair price, no less. If you go in to drop off shoes, you will get an extensive education on proper shoe fit (which can impact the wear on your shoes, to say nothing of your feet!) as well as shoe maintenance. Bill has a very straightforward manner of delivery and he doesn't sugar coat things, but I would trust him to steer me in the right direction with whatever issue I bring to him. For instance, before going to the extreme and more costly measure of dying some shoes that have discolored leather, he recommended that I first try out a vinegar and water cleaning process at home. I appreciated that he wasn't trying to give me a hard sell outright. I came to his shop for shoe repairs but was also impressed by the variety of shoes that he sells. If his store was located in some place like Brooklyn, there would be hipsters lined up out the door for his Red Wings, Minnetonka Moccasins, and vintage Reeboks. He also carries high quality Vasque hiking boots, plus some lines of what I would consider more sensible orthopedic shoes. The store is located on Ravenna's Main Street thoroughfare, with plenty of street parking. The interior has some well-worn patina, and while visiting you will be guaranteed a few good stories from Bill, and a skillful repair job on whatever you're needing help with. I would definitely go out of my way to get future shoe repairs done here.

The problem is the old timer who owns and runs the joint, he's a jackass on another level. I don't care how knowledgeable you are, if you are such an ass with an even worse tone of voice and condescending as all hell people won't want to do business with you. Tried to tell me that though I was diagnosed with flat feet when I was born that it's my boots that are the problem and caused me to have flat feet. Also irked me that the old timer dang near hit me in the face with his cigarette when he came out to assist. I was calm and polite even with him cursing and being an ass and telling me I'm full of shit and have no idea what I'm talking about with a diagnosis I've had my entire life. When the old timer finally hangs up his tools I'd definitely be willing to give it another shot with the young kid or if the old timer is willing to apologize for being an ass and conduct business like an adult.

When I decided to have them repaired (the soles had come unglued), it was about a week or so turnaround, and they now look like nothing ever happened to them! Voila, shoe magic! Don't take your shoes to anyone else in this town because, if you do, you may get someone (like I did) who, within five seconds of looking, flat out tells you to forget about it... not going to name names, but if you know you know. I appreciate that Tesone's not only completed the repair (and excellently so), but that they gave me a few minutes of their time to patiently examine and explain my options. All of that to say, I'll be returning when my next repair comes up - and it will... I hate to waste shoes, when I can fix and keep wearing. If you're like me, now you know where to go!
