I'm so happy Greensboro has a new authentic Mexican taco spot. The menu is pretty simple. As you could probably tell by the name they only have tacos as entrees but do also have chips with queso, salsa, and guacamole. I tried 4 out of 5 of their tacos on the menu. Unsurprisingly the al pastor was by far my favorite. But the shrimp, chicken, and steak (in that order) were also great. All the meat and ingredients were well seasoned and tasted pretty fresh. The corn tortillas were fluffy and toasted to perfection. Each taco was overflowing with filling as well. There's limited iteration with the staff as you get a number and they bring the food out to you, but overall the service was pretty good and the food came out pretty quick. I wish they had more salsas in the taco station, but the marinara salsa was interesting. Tasted exactly how you'd expect, like a spicy marinara sauce. It was pretty good on the tacos.

This is such a great addition to revolution mill! It shares a space with cugino forno which I think is cool because you could easily order both if you're with a group who wants different things. Our tacos came out fast and tasted so fresh. I had the Al pastor taco and it did not disappoint. It was on a corn tortilla and they did not skimp on the toppings. The meat had a lot of flavor & it was the perfect amount of cilantro and onion. The grilled pineapple was also delicious. We also tried the chips and queso and I enjoyed those too. The chips were well salted & $6 is a pretty decent price. Service was good - you order at the counter and they bring the food out to you. Every employee we interacted with was nice & it was very clean inside! I'll definitely be back.

Welcome Solo Taco to the heart of Revolution Mill! Boy did they deliver, and they've been open for only one week. The menu so far is small, but man does it pack a punch. 5 different taco styles and chips with different dips. Fresh, flavorful and full of great vibes here. Can't beat the location. It shares a patio with Incendiary Brewery right next door, and they have an extension of Cugino Forno right in the main restaurant portion. So now you have amazing tacos, fresh Neapolitan style pizza, a brewery with amazing drinks, a cocktail lounge (Grapes and Grains) and flavorful steak (Kau) all within a stone's throw. The tacos are the bomb! I tried 4 different ones (shrimp, steak, chicken and pork). Each one has the freshest meat that is tender and juicy, with authentic flavors, spices and sauces draped all over them. One was better than the other. And the chips are fresh and come out hot. Come for the tacos. Or sit on the shared patio with the brewery and enjoy a cold one, they'll bring the food out to you. Want to bring the kids, but they're not taco fans? Grab a pizza at Cugino Forno in the shared space while you enjoy the tacos and a tasty beverage. No kids but pets? They're welcome inside and out as well. Honestly this place has it all, and the variety of experiences you can have with everything around it is endless. Come see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Located inside Revolution Mill, Solo Taco is in a large, renovated industrial space with a casual food court feel. Bright mural, open kitchen, simple seating. Easy place to grab a quick bite. It's co-located with a pizza place. May check it out sometime later. I ordered two chicken tacos, $3.99 each . The chicken was decent but under seasoned. The toppings added some freshness, but nothing stood out. I wish I had asked for more of the guacamole salsa because that added some flavor to the second taco. But there wasn't much on the first one . Tortillas held together well, but the overall flavor was mild. Portions are fair for the price. Quick service and straightforward ordering. This works if you are already at Revolution Mill and want something fast. Not a place I would go out of my way for. Must order: Try a different protein Heads up: Flavors are on the mild side

These tacos were GOOD. Just discovered this gem at Revolution Mill. Walked in and ordered immediately. Staff were really friendly. Menu is short and sweet. We got the shrimp tacos, chicken tacos and the chips/guac. The tacos had a bit of spice which I love. The guac was a great portion and had the perfect amount of lime and creaminess. The location is like a mini food hall. Not too many people, but enough where the place doesn't feel empty. We came right around the lunch rush. Not too loud and plenty of seating. It'll be a huge with outside seating when the weather warms up. I'll definitely be back!

This is a solid little small bite option in Revolution Mill. We ordered an array of tacos and chips/salsa/queso while visiting Incendiary on a Saturday afternoon. We walked over and ordered but my favorite part is that they bring your tacos to you in the brewery. So no need to wait or go back to the taco shop to retrieve your order. The tacos were good too, lots of flavor packed into a few small bites which is all we were looking for while having a drink. The queso was probably my favorite bite - so flavorful. The salsa was also refreshing with the tacos. The only feedback I have is that cheese on a shrimp taco is a little weird - we left that off. And I wish they offered a trio of salsa/queso/guac instead of having to order each separately. Overall a very nice edition to Revolution mill - we will be back!

Service was superb. The tacos were really good. I got 3 different kinds. My favorite was actually the mushroom taco (veggie). Second was the shrimp taco and coming in really close was the steak taco. I loved the open feel of the restaurant and the outdoor seating. It shares the space with the pizza restaurant Cugino Forno. The next time, I think I'm getting both. This is such an awesome space and it should do well. I am super excited about revisiting this space.

Loving this new concept for Cugino Forno and the space they chose! The tacos are delicious, they taste fresh and have unique flavors, I like the street style tacos like that. The food came out fast which is always a plus! I mostly love the space, it's a huge space like their previous location at Revolution Mill and it has a shared courtyard area with amazing outdoor seating that is super nice and family friendly. I love how you can grab a drink from incendiary brewing and grab tacos or pizza all in one area. Definitely will come back! Love what Revolution Mill is doing with their social district, very nice.

I'm already planning my next visit!!! Tacos were amazing plenty of flavor and they were unique ingredients in each. Salsa tasted fresh and delicious. I could have gotten 3 baskets! Inside was a shared space with the pizzeria, but there was plenty of seating inside and out. Our server was helpful and kind. My only complaint, which isn't really a complaint or a huge deal, but you do have to buy bottled sodas and there is no cups/ice. Like I said it by far wasn't negative, but it is something that could have been better.

    Steak tacos. Excellent!

A great new spot in Revolution Mill. Between this, Incendiary Brewing, Grapes and Grain, and Kau, this section of the mill offers a lot of great options for food, entertainment and outdoor seating. The tacos are excellent. I had two steak tacos and they are the best in the city. There is a generous portion of high quality steak, fresh toppings and a full flavored tortilla. They also have a topping bar inside to allow you to customize. Also, the chip trio makes a great shareable item for 2-4 people to eat with their tacos. Again, I'll make another claim, while not the chunky type typically made table side, the guacamole is some of the best in the city. We met friend there on a Friday night, sat outside where the music was, had delicious drinks from Incendiary Brewing and just enjoyed a delightful evening. You should give them a try, especially on a nice day when you want to be outside!

Solo Taco is owned by the owners of Cugino Forno and it's in the same space as Cugino Forno too! We weren't crazy hungry but we wanted to try it out so we got 3 tacos. They were all the mushroom ones and it was pretty good I did wish it had cheese and maybe some other things on it but the flavor was there. The star of the show was the tortilla for sure. The tortilla was handmade and super soft and fluffy almost. They do have hot sauce upon request and it added a slow kick to it.

What a great edition to the revolution mills area! The tacos were amazing! Soft corn tortillas with many toppings. The menu is short and sweet but man, the food has so much flavor!!!! Much seating area and in a location with a brewery and other food options available. Can't wait to come back! Service was super fast.

    Al pastor, steak trompo, shrimp
    Daniela B.

My favorite was the Al pastor taco, very flavorful. The steak taco could use more seasoning but I liked that the meat was tender. Shrimp taco was delicious. I liked that they make their corn tortillas in house! There's plenty of seating and you can also order pizza in the same building which is convenient. They are very quick to get the tacos out which is nice. Overall a good experience and I'd come back for the Al pastor and shrimp tacos.

The queso was great! The beef and shrimp tacos were even better. We will definitely be back

True to its namesake, there are brightly colored folk art designs throughout the restaurant in line with their Mexican heritage. The trees that make it look overgrown from the outside actually serve to allow sunlight while masking the surrounding city, facilitating the transformation that makes you feel like you're in Mexico City. We came at an off-peak time in the afternoon and it was nearly empty. We were seated immediately and the service was prompt and attentive. I was pleased to see some unique menu offerings like Birra Ramen and Sopes that deviate from the standard American-friendly fare in most places. Drinks were good - we had a regular house margarita, a triple berry margarita, and a jalapeño cucumber margarita. All were tasty and I would order again. I tried to order a Mezcalita, since it's not often I see a Mezcal option, but they were out of that particular liquor. We tried to get street corn as an appetizer, which they were also out of. We got cheese and salsa with chips instead. The chips were hot and fresh, the salsa generous with the cilantro, and the cheese bold and warm. For entrees we had the Al Pastor Quesadilla and the Birra Ramen. The quesadilla was good, though the beans on the side were pretty bland. The ramen was a unique and very tasty option, and I was not able to finish such a generous portion. I think I'd leave the cheese out next time since it made some weird textures, but the flavor was great overall. Overall, there are some small things to improve (having menu items in stock, bland beans) and the prices were a bit high, but we had a great experience overall. I'm not often in the area, but I'll certainly eat here again if I am!

The name Bandito Bodega is extremely accurate, as the store itself is a small and unassuming looking place, with a charmingly decorated interior and some indoor and outdoor seating. It did not need any flashiness or grandeur- just some good food and good vibes. Now the food: WOW I was blown away by the pork belly garlic fried rice. The pork belly was so incredibly fatty and perfectly crispy, the shrimp add-on was juicy and well seasoned, and the fried egg over a bed of DELICIOUS steamy garlicky fried rice was absolutely perfection. And they do NOT skimp on the portions. This heaping bowl was just $15, and it was generously topped with the pork belly. It's a food truck located in Petra's parking lot and open hella late, which is a WIN! The ramen was very flavorful although it felt like something was missing compared to Cali but overall very delicious! The only thing I didn't appreciate was the price. The cup was tiny and priced at $11. There wasn't enough room for additional consommé (juice) in the cup. I honestly think the cup could be a little larger for $11 or add more meat. My friend says the Quesa Birrias ($17) were good but they still prefer La Costenita's. Personally I don't like La Costenita's, because the meat and taco shells are extremely dry. But that's why we're all entitled to our opinions and preferences. :) The item that looked like a quesadilla was really tasty and only $7! It reminded me of a taco sandwich lol. The lady that took my order could of been a bit friendlier but I understand most people in NC aren't friendly at all. She insisted I add cheese after repeatedly explaining I do not like cheese and advised to dip my taco sandwich in the ramen but there wasn't enough juice in my ramen cup to even attempt that. Overall the meal was delicious, I've tried many places and this is at the top of my list. I would return when I'm craving something authentic but the pricing needs to be adjusted for what you get.
