Complaint about So Lippy.
So Lippy TOOK MY MONEY AND DID NOT SEND THE PRODUCT. That was in July 2013. They did not respond to phone calls or emails, except inaccurately.
This is the email I had to send to them on 28 August 2013:
"I have NOT received my order. I sent you an e-mail yesterday, and now this is the fifth message.
Please refund my money immediately. You were quick enough to take money out of my account as soon as I placed the order and a good two weeks before you marked it as dispatched. You even took the money out twice and refunded that fairly promptly, so I know you can do it. I have waited long enough, 49 days, and contacted you enough times that this should have been resolved long ago.
According to the Distance Selling Regulations, I may cancel my order if it is not received within 30 days. So I am cancelling my order. Please refund my money immediately."
Still no reply and still no money.
So Lippy has a VERY BAD REPUTATION and there are bad review on MoneySavingExpert.com and Ciao.co.uk. I wish I had read them first.
IT IS A CRIME TO TAKE MONEY AND NOT GIVE THE PRODUCT PURCHASED.
THEREFORE, SO LIPPY ARE CRMINIALS.
I hope this reveiw saves others from what I have had to go through.
UPDATE FROM 8 November 2013: So Lippy sent an email to me on 30 October, apologizing for the 'oversight' and refunding my money. I checked with the bank today and the money is there. So it appears that sites like Yelp do serve the purpose of getting action from vendors who would otherwise just keep the money and hope the customer can't be bothered to make a fuss! I hope everyone who reads this is encouraged to take action to get any situation with So Lippy resolved and not let them get away with simply taking money without sending the goods.
